See, normal people in a two-way argument will have a bit of to-and-fro. One presents some information. The other says "I have better information." Normally, the other person will show that information to further the dialogue, or at the very least put person #1 in their place. You don't have to respect person #1 in the least, but in respecting the dialogue you show that you are at least an honest broker.

If you say you have better information but never show it, what's the point? This isn't poker, bluffing the other player/s won't win you anything. General sh*t-stirring and trolling, yeah its fun but when the other participants just aren't biting you have to really ask yourself 'why did I even bother?'

Having said that I still love ya Noidy. Absolutely no hate here. Keep up them monkeyshines, kiddo ;)
And sometimes the information is withheld to make it obvious to the other person they exist in an ideological bubble.

Did you find the answer as to why you were completely unaware of the longer, more enlightening version being in existence?

Wheres the BLM outrage for this?

Or this..

Yep. All criminal acts by really despicable people. But guess what? Those perps are going to have their day in court and they are going to face justice without the benefit of qualified immunity. They can't and won't, hide behind a blue line of silence.

Can you say the same for police perpetrators of crime?

Hey, I actually want to learn and I will look at information others present to me. I would give you the the same consideration any time. Remember, this isn't about if I can find things - it's about you being willing to share those points you feel important enough to bring up in the first place.

If you can't or won't see this point fair enough. I won't force the issue any further. Over to you.

You want to learn, but you found yourself in an ideological bubble.

Something does not add up correctly in that statement.

Explain to me about this ideological bubble you believe I'm in. Because I believe that black lives matter as much as any other life? That I've posted in favour of LGBT+ rights in other threads? Is that a bubble or is it just a set of beliefs? Inclusion automatically runs contrary to exclusion, and if one belief exists in a bubble surely both do? I mean, if all beliefs are bubble-inducive does that not mean you're in a bubble yourself?

As I said, I'll consider all information presented. I can't suddenly believe things that run contrary to my core values though - in fairness neither can you. I get that. All we can do is be honest brokers and trade information.

You have not seen the footage that paints the Jacob Blake situation in a much more factual and reasonable light when considering the outcome.

Who does not want you to see that footage and why?

Why have you not found -- for yourself -- a source that enabled you to see that footage?

Do you think the cops who shot George Floyd will get off? The ones who shot Jacob Blake? Some cops obviously do the wrong thing and the book should be thrown at them. But the vast majority are absolute heros facing extraordinarily difficult situations and I'll start off by backing them.

I also just think people need to understand the numbers here. Theres nearly 4,000 black on black murders every year in the US. There might be 150-200 black people shot by cops and a fraction of those would be cases where it wasnt necessary to protect their own life.

That means since the day George Floyd was shot there has been roughly 1000 black shootings of other blacks. How many wrongful shootings by cops? We hear everyone one right now. I can think of maybe 4 or 5?

You want to save black lives you are starting in the wrong spot.

Honestly, I think they will. I'm definitely not in the ACAB (All Cops Are Bastards) camp by the way, and I'll agree with you that the vast majority are working in the face of difficult situations and dealing with horrible people day in and day out. I even understand how it can harden a heart and foster the us/them divide to the staggering extent we see playing out at the minute.

An armed officer of the peace with no faith left in the humanity they see on the streets can be a dangerous thing too, though.

Had a good chunk of his arm blown off too. Inadvertently saw a pic on twitter. Was barely attached to the rest of his body. Read elsewhere that the shooter was part of BLM? Either way, charging at a person with a rifle = instant Darwin award.

That is a scene that would play in in America or downtown Iraq.

Gunshots everywhere and madness.

Unsurprising

The suspect who allegedly fatally shot two people and injured one last night at a protest against police brutality in Kenosha, Wisconsin stood front row at a rally for President Donald Trump in January, according to video footage.

[Wojnarowski] The NBA, owners and front offices didn't see this wave of player boycotts coming today. Hours ago, they all expected to be playing these games tonight. This is a pivot point for the NBA and professional sports in North America.
