Not sure why some are saying chappy is past it. Here's a list of his games this year:

25 disposals, 1.0 vs Hawthorn in round 1
23 disposals, 2.3 vs North Melb in round 2
21 disposals, 0.1 vs Carlton in round 3
22 disposals, 2.0 vs Sydney in round 4
14 disposals, 1.0 vs Sydney in round 22 (first game in 4 months)
26 disposals, 2.1 vs Brisbane in round 23
11 disposals, 0.0 vs Freo in the QF
20 disposals, 4.2 vs Port in the SF

Freo aside that is pretty solid.

Chappy would be a handy pick up if cheap. Sit him on the half forward line with short stints in the midfield. Although I think we desperately need some pace and I can't say he'd offer much. Anyone on the market with a bit of dash? Not sure why but Dayle Garlett really appeals to me. Richmond could use some indigenous talent with a bit of X Factor.

As a delisted free agent, Paul Chapman would be a massive coup for us.

Would take Martin and McDonough under his wing and there is life in this bloke yet.

We could go close to steal a flag with the addition of this guy.

Get Taylor Adams, keep Dustin Martin, get Paul Chapman and things would be looking up. A big pre season from a few of our kids like McBean and Arnot would help.

Totally agree bob. I hope we're pulling the necessary strings to make this happen.

Anyone else think we may benefit from bringing in another talls coach? Who do we have ATM aside from Lade? Leppistch I spose but he appears to be gone.

Just wondering how we can develop our tall talent a bit better. No doubt the talent is there with guys like Griffiths, Elton, Astbury, McBean. We just need someone to harness it and turn it into on field performance. Brad Ottens anyone?

McBean seems fine, which makes me wonder if the others are just shit.

He was injured for the majority of the year. Great player but think his time is well and truly up.

With Chappy at his age he would be more injury prone at his age now, is susceptible to the hamstrings as well.

You would be lucky to get one good year out of him hopefully to but really I would only pick him up for his leadership, on the cheap and hope he stands up for a while physically and gives a few pointers to the guys in the forward line with a possible assistant coach role after.

Chappy may not be cut out for coaching anyway, I do not know much about him except as a player

Virtually all Carlrank fans agree, Betts has a deal in place with Adelaide. Carltank won't match the 500k to 600k offer he asked for, apparently Adelaide are desperate for him.

I can see this being a source of future lols at Adelaides expense :D :thumbsu:

Have we been linked to Chappy, or has someone heard a whisper... or is this just shooting the shit?

I would love Chappy even if it was just for 1 year... Easily my favourite footballer not in a Richmond jumper ... in one way it'd be sad to see him finish at another club, but gee he'd make our forward line a hell of a lot more polished!

Shooting the shit. Just saying he'd be a good pick-up if the Cats ditch him.
