Dynamic goalkicker Tom Papley ran at 90 per cent on Saturday and will return while Cripps is a certainty to slot back in. Blake Acres’ sore shoulder also won’t stop him from lining up in consecutive finals series.

Been told Acres is a fractured collarbone.

Almost certain. It looked exactly like a typical collarbone break where the contact made was pushing up from the bottom of the shoulder and thus forcing too much stress on the collarbone.

Collarbone fractures are interesting - the swelling and pain generally lasts only 10-12 days. Some take as little as 3 weeks to come good, some take six. Wouldn't rule him out of Week 2 of finals once we take care of the Swans.

(no means a medical expert but had my fair share of collarbone injuries in my amateur footy days)

@Sammy__Edmund

Scans have cleared Carlton winger Blake Acres of any fracture to the collarbone/shoulder region after he was subbed out against GWS on Sunday. Understandably sore, but is every chance to feature in the Blues' elimination final against Sydney at the MCG.
