Would cost a trillion dollars and picks. Not realistic I don't think.

I do think the Blues will make a surprise play, though, for someone not yet mentioned (or openly available).

The $’s are there from Coniglio but yes, we’d be bleeding picks aplenty.

Just don’t see too many others in the big fish category that are worth moving, or likely to (Whitfield, Hopper, Taranto, Heeney types).

Cheers mate. Can the contract not just be renegotiated to be separate from his existing Crows one i.e. he simply accepts less cash to play for us and Crows are off the hook? Surely there's a clause somewhere.
I cant see eddie letting go of next years salary from ADL...it makes more sense for ADL to pay portion of next years salary and he gets to blues. Its still a good deal for ADL because they are unlikely to play him in the seniors. Therefore it would be a way for them to cut their losses.

Hopefully Reid and the Crows see this the same way.

Jon Patton was on a big contract at the Giants as well, so the Giants will have freeded up some cap space there.

The Giants have either been more lucky or shrewd than the Suns in that although they havs lost quite a few more players back home, they have yet to lose a legit star like Lynch, Prestia or even O'Meara at this stage (although i am confident Setterfield will get there)

They are getting another valuable trade asset and or pick this year thanks to Dodo.

They will get a cheap pick for Patton and turn it into something decent, just you wait and see.

A Gaff is used to help get big fish into the boat!
Yes, Gaff would be my bet as the player in question. I don't really understand the supposed one year clause he has on his contract and how that would work in a trade but I would think it would make his acquisition easier than a Papley type situation. I shouldn't dream but can you imagine a trade period of Gaff, Martin, and Papley?

No you shouldn't. How about we just go into the trade period happy we have Martin, Papley, Betts and Butler all keen to come but realising we don't have a 2019 second round pick to help get them.

If at the end of this trade period our forward 7 is McKay, Curnow, McGovern, Papley, Martin, Betts and Cuningham we should be very excited - anything above that should be viewed as extraordinary and unlikely.

Butler will be looked at if 1 of the 3 fall through. Not priority at this stage, things can change.

There may be another big fish up sos' sleeve that we all don't know about. Id love to drop the name but Id get shot at. He is an interstate player
obligatory pav post coming up...... "is it pav, i reckon its pav....its pav"

Gold Coast looking for help getting Greenwood without giving up one of their top 20 picks. Possibly will be our future second to Adelaide in a roundabout 3 way trade.

Yeah sure it would be unlikely. But if he wants to go back to Melbourne we should be asking the question.

Wasn't Devon Smith a GWS player. He is as good as those on that list, just plays in a worse team.
