It is much more possible than some might think that both Wines and Oliver are very keen on coming to Carlton.

We can’t accommodate or trade for both; so there are sensitivities in negotiations and timing. Saad has complicated this (in a good way I think).

If the club could pick only one, who would be better of the two?

Every year it seems "elite" players cost more and more.

Pick 7 plus a future Pick 10-14, for Oliver and 23 (slides to ~25) is in excess of what Brisbane paid for Lachie Neale...which in itself was a significant investment.

6 + 19 + 55 for Neale + 30
7 + 12 + for Oliver + 23

It's around the mark.

Ahh ok fair enough... didn't realise it was around the mark of the Neale trade.

Come to think of it, 23 this year will probably slide further than 25, maybe around 28 too.

At the risk of upsetting at few, when did AJS become ITK? Been on here for years and never seen him regarded as one and now all of the sudden some people take his word as if it’s Barass, MS3, etc.

From what I’ve been told C.O is still in play and there’s interest on his side but like every club we deal with, MELB would want one of our KPF involved + more. At the end of the day though only Clayton and his manager would know what he’s going to do.

Wanting to come to Carlton and getting to Carlton are two completely different things we have to remember.

Bit over people coming on here stating things as fact when more often than not it’s a complete guess. It’s not hard to guess a 50/50.

As others have said, if we can walk away with 'only' Saad, Williams and (say) a Tom Phillips - there's our speed/run issues sorted for 5 years.

Means we definitely keep Bam Bam.

Phillips would come cheap, and is a very handy type imo. 25 next year. Near on 100 games under his belt. Elite runner. Perfect fit.
