Well I hope tonight convinces the club and people on here that JDG isn't worth the mega contract and 2 x 1st round draft picks it would take to pry JDG out of Collingwood. I'm not judging him on this one game, but what I've seen from him as a player over his career I just don't think he's the right one for us to spend big on.

Tonight convinces me that they played their asses off last week and it was their grand final. None of them have anything left so I'm not going to rip apart one player when its a team begging for the final siren.

North could and would offer Degoey far more. Not sure if he would be wanting to move to the Blues just for money in that case.
Who wouldn’t want to be a forward at the Blues alongside Charlie and Harry, with Saad, Williams and our regulars pumping it inside 50.

There’s no superstars at the Pies tonight.........

sympathy from me to the Pies is more rare than a Baby Yoda ooshie, but if we had have been in Collingwood’s situation the last few weeks we would be rioting.

What the AFL did, forcing them to Perth/quarantine - has absolutely fried them.

they were dead men walking going into this game and they’ve played like it. I wouldn’t hold tonight against any Collingwood player.

If Collingwood are in cap trouble then go for J.Elliott.
Sure he has risks attached due to injury but I'd rather gamble on a player who might have to be in medical rehabilitation then criminal rehabilitation.
Pigs arrrrse............................ ;)

So the lead up to Collingwoods point that quarter. Nice break out by DeGoey but he handed it to Pendles and stopped. Peddles got in trouble he was flat footed waving his arms.

Surely he keeps running, Pendles drags the defenders, handball back he is running into goal.

Lucky for Collingwood, Pendles is that good he still found a way, unlucky for Collingwood, Elliot missed a sitter.

Is De Goey still without a manager?

His father is his manager.

Happens all the time - player agent fees aren’t cheap (although with some of the inflated contract offers you hear in the media, might be worth it).

An old school-mate of mine was managed by his father his whole career, and there were quite a few teammates in the same situation.
