Guys, Just After JDG, signed contract last time around, prior to the filth's final series whilst he was injured we flew him Interstate wined dine him and put the hard word on him to request a trade and examined the possibility of him coming across when his contract expires.

I dont know how to call up old posts, I am not or profess to be an ITK poster, and as a result with info like this I was smashed by a few posters (JDG is friend of my aunties pet budgie he will never leave pies etc.), had a couple posters and a mod PM me on the issue . My source wasn't to happy I let the cat out of the bag and since I have been sworn to silence. My parting comments were if he doesn't come across that trade period he will consider us once his contract expires.

My source was very strong, however i have not chased the subject up this time nor do i intend to. My comments at the time clearly indicated this was going to eventuate.
How confident is Agresta this time around ?

I remember you posting that and I was skeptical at the time

Not of your info, but that he would want out of the Pies

This time, i cant get a read on it

nup - no salvaging anything from this - tough season for all - they are old, fragmented, disillusioned, tough to coach and in desperate need of a rebuild.....

And the cats did play in Adelaide so didn’t exactly have a non travel arrangement either.

They have cap problems and cant fit everyone in. Some players wont accept pay cuts and some clubs are willing to offer more. Media are onto it, but reporting it and getting the trade done is dependant on what pies want as compensation. JDG will not go to PSD if deal is not suitable. His father is of the opinion that your time in footy is short make the most of it financially.

Listening to Buckley presser, de goey not going anywhere. Just need to agree on Monterey value. For sure he is playing us to get his value up at pies

I actually think Bucks presser indicates the opposite.

Unusual for a coach to comment publicly that one of his players is looking for more money, usually they keep a lid on it and work it out behind closed doors.

pies would have lost tonight on mars........

Or forward line is stacked just need clean crisp delivery. For what it will cost us i dont think we should go down that path. Only way I would consider him is if can build fitness to spend more time int he middle and change attitude .
My reasoning is rudimentary at best but i just feel he won’t fit into our culture. Our boys are nice and respectful. It’s an impressionable young group so we don’t need a brad crouch 2.0

Lol so the collingwood board really think we would put up mckay or charlie in a trade for JDG 😳. Talk about underrating our boys🤷🏼‍♂️
wouldn't expect a whole lot of clarity from hoddle street tonight, that crowd is basically in low level shock with what they've just endured..........

DeGoey, Dunkley or Oliver?

DeGoey and Oliver would cost about the same in a trade and $$.

Oliver would suit us more, JDG can win a game off his own boot but with Oliver we get a gun mid who would release Cripps forward during games and would win us games also.

Dunkley would be the cheaper option, and a very handy versatile footballer who could help us all over the ground.

If we can get a deal done and have the cash I am going for Oliver.

Dunkley a good back up as a cheaper option.

I hope that we've learned something from Dodo's recent recruiting flaws, De Goey (much like * recruitment of Stringer)

He looks out of sorts and perhaps a change of clubs is potentially his way of trying to run away from some of the mental demons that he is obviously battling away from footy.

I was at the game tonight and he looked like his effort/pressure was well down, especially when Collingwood really needed a spark or a moment (run down tackle etc. to get the fans up and about). The last thing we need is another player that drops the head when the opposition bang 5 or 6 consecutive goals in a row.

Undoubtedly, when in peak condition he has the potential to destroy an opposition but tonight he looked unfit and disorientated. Given how much we'd have to pay for him (especially with some of our more important players yet to re-sign) It's a solid no from me.
