As someone that knows a little bit about this, I can confidently say he’s 0% chance of going to gaol based on the nature of the allegations and his background. That doesn’t mean we should bring him in. But gaol is not on the cards for him even if the pending matter is found proven.

Guys, Just After JDG, signed contract last time around, prior to the filth's final series whilst he was injured we flew him Interstate wined dine him and put the hard word on him to request a trade and examined the possibility of him coming across when his contract expires.

I dont know how to call up old posts, I am not or profess to be an ITK poster, and as a result with info like this I was smashed by a few posters (JDG is friend of my aunties pet budgie he will never leave pies etc.), had a couple posters and a mod PM me on the issue . My source wasn't to happy I let the cat out of the bag and since I have been sworn to silence. My parting comments were if he doesn't come across that trade period he will consider us once his contract expires.

My source was very strong, however i have not chased the subject up this time nor do i intend to. My comments at the time clearly indicated this was going to eventuate.

I remember Juddy saying something along the lines of the goal kicking half forward being the most important player to acquire at present. Wouldn't be surprised if there is some truth in it.

In the PSD he nominates a contract of 2 years at 1 mil each year, stipulates he will move again after that if any other club takes him, other than us

Once we pick him up, we extend his contract by another 3 years, for a total of 1.5 mil

No other club would take him on the initial 2 year deal

Never done this before, but I am seriously thinking about emailing Cain Liddle or the appropriate person at the footy club to outline my unequivocal objection to us recruiting/trading for Jordan De Goey.

Now I am not going to be one of those fans who issues an ultimatum/threaten to cancel my membership, I will join up again as I do every year, but I feel very strong about this issue, and as a long time club member/stalwart, I want the club to listen to my objections.

I honestly think De Goey is overrated/vastly inconsistent as a player as well.

I want us to have a fair dinkum crack at Christian Petracca when he comes out of contract. He should be the long game target for us.

So many gun players transition from very good half forward flankers to elite AFL mids. Fyfe, Martin, Dangerfield, Petracca, Ablett, Gray et al. I think we are hoping JDG could do the same thing - he’s right in the age range.

It took Martin seven years to break into the absolute top echelon. That’s JDG next year.

What if he takes the 2 mil and then decides a fourth home maybe somewhat more profitable after the two years?

We couldn't do anything about it, as the contract is lodged with the AFL.

I can assure this all happened. it came from the horses mouth within the club. My mistake was getting caught up in the excitement of it an mentioning it in here.

Yeah I was thinking Nth could definitely afford him and they surely need him. I didn’t think about Saad leaving again after 2 years though.
