I dreamt last night that Oliver had genuinely bought into what Carlton was building and was willing to take unders in term of salary.

My footy dreams have come true before. Still waiting on the one where I kick the winning goal in a Carlton premiership, though...

Blues still looking for a “small forward” ferrisb

PSD or rookie draft look like your best options.........

It's 800 now though before any renegotiation or Collingwood contribution.
The key with the risk is to rejig it to a base + games arrangement.
If we're paying 600 have that as 400 + 10 per game.

Hold on. Pies are the team in the pickle.

Bend them over.

1. Treloar renegotiates a 'new' deal with us - 4 years + option (if meets certain KPIs) and he takes a modest pay cut (as suggested $50k-75k).
2. Pies tip in $200k - $250k a year, every year - $100k is us doing them a big favour - f... that. They still get salary cap relief of $700k!
3. Pick swap as part of the deal, including 14 back....for Saad.

I have AFL-level qualities...

Caleb Daniels height, Levi's pre-Sav goal kicking, Paul Bower's game awareness, Blaine Boekhurst's contested game and Marchbank's durability...

The fact at the moment you could argue we burnt them anyway probably brings a smile to their face too

TDK has huge wraps on him 😎
Granted, Kennedy and O’Brien haven’t set the world on fire.
Regardless, Gibbs was a disaster and is still on their books for next season even though he will be laying on a beach somewhere ...

If it was SOS, he would have walked in with $8, walked out with $8, the coffees and the muffins.
Perhaps he would have ordered his single espresso and paid the full $8 because that’s what he had on him and he would be kidding himself if he didn’t offer it while they would be kidding themselves if they didn’t accept it...

BF I genuinely feel sorry for Trealor but you’re right...I hope nobody bails the dirty bastards out...they don’t deserve it and more to the point, any players wanting to go there in the future take note how they treat loyalty!!
Quite frankly they are a bunch of frauds.
The best thing Treloar does is say **** you, I am staying and you're going to honour my contract. He is in a great spot in that regard. As long as he doesn't budge on the dollar figure he has got a massive pay day for the next 5 years. Well played Treloar's mgmt. Club and personal fallout thats a different story. Incredibly poorly played Collingwood.

On number 1, AT doesn’t have to do that, he is owed and guaranteed that money, he should stand firm, wanting the contract fully committed at a new club (with Collingwood paying a chunk) or stays at Collingwood. Why does owe anyone anything?

FWIW Jake Niall seems to have “broken” a lot of Carlton stories in the last 12 months.

I think there is some trust in that relationship.
If memory serves me, Niall had a full article posted on the Age about Teague getting the job. A long, detailed article, not something he whipped up in a few minutes. There was a Teague back story, how it came to be that he went from assistant at other clubs before coming home, taking the reigns as caretaker coach and finally getting the big job.

Minutes beforehand Ralph, Little Tommy Brown and others were on live tv running with Teague being unlikely and it confident it would be another couple of weeks before a decision was made.

We definitely have some kind of relationship with Jake. He’s a good journo and seems to be more old school in his workings; take the time, get the detail, get it right, publish it long-format.

Just a thought....forgo Saad & go after Dunkley.

That can all be ironed out at afl level, I see potential in you young Ferris, time to find a way to contact dodoro to let him know who to use his pick 6 on!

We have got Andrew Russell who is meant to be one of the best going around. We should be looking at players with injury history and seeing what ARussell thinks. Hawks took Burgoyne with bad knees and he is close to 400 games now.
If we could get Trelore for $600-650k(pre covid adjustment) via pies paying $200-$250k and him taking a small($50k) haircut just to get out
And ARuss gives it the green light we would be mad not too look at it.

Right now everyone sees what he can’t do. Not a great kick, hamstrings are a worry, got massive $$$ owing.
But what can he do?
Chop out Cripps massively, get the ball moving forward. If we get a chaos ball going into the 50 is it that bad while Harry and Charlie are roaming around?

I think he could make a real difference, if we could get him on the right money

Of course no one can make Treloar do that, but really, why would he want to stay at the Pies after they've violated him with numerous sharp objects?

Does he want to keep playing AFL senior footy? Does he want of a chance to win a flag?

If both answers are yes, here are our terms Adam.....

Hard to say really. He could stay and Collingwood won’t have a choice in the matter but to keep him. But they could be incredibly petty and since they are paying him anyway, they won’t select him at all in 2021.

Adam probably would love to stay at Collingwood but there are other Victorian clubs who would love to have him. He can take his pick of whoever can afford him with Collingwood chipping in their share and Adam gets the hell away from Collingwood. I reckon a contender will decide they want to sign him.

But after 3 months of lockdown while working & home schooling 2 little kids I hear you:
- have good composure
- can deal with pressure
- are good in traffic

PS - after 3 months of that “hub life“ sounds bloody attractive to me!!!!
