Who’s Sayers accountable to besides the members, 4 new board members so can we assume it’s the remaining members of the board?

He's accountable to the whole of his board, how's this even a question, he's president, not King.

Honestly tho, he’s done enough work on his Ross the boss segment that he could literally walk in and in 45 mins outline the issues with our previous game plan, how he would correct it while still play an aggressive brand! Highlight the assailants available he’d like and why and then say I think the rest of my coaching career speaks for itself. That’s my presentation you know how to reach me and bounce.
If he’s too lazy or arrogant to do the bare minimum for a job he was clearly frothing over then there’s another reason *cough* Carlton Respects that proved too big a hurdle for the board to agree on him, so he just jumped in to save face.
Either way I’m not fussed. This is now our reality. There will be no saviour, just a group of individuals who work together to reach some thing akin to success…

We seem to be having an identity crisis about our brand. CFC is a footy club, we’re not in the business of broad political idealism outside general mainstream. Our focus should be on high performance in AFL sport.

It’s a valid topic of discussion because it’s materially linked to suggestions posted about the pursuit of RTB being in conflict with the clubs “respect” program. Posters with a differing view shouldn’t get abusive.

you wrote this below with reference to the club's program promoting respect for women - explain it, please........
Hopefully, someone will can it, soon

…and let’s not forget our commitment to stamping out situational COI. We’ve become off-field premiers, champions.

Once the crap settles, our footy club will realize that they need too select a coach and overhaul several supporting structures around him, a real baptism of fire for Luke Sayers.

I'm out. We'll come out the other side of this process with a coach who has prepared a superb PowerPoint presentation with an elite memorised speech. But likely can't coach for shit, all for the sake of a seemingly exhaustive process.

And then the players end up taking advantage of the guy and quitting on him 2.5 years down the track. Rinse and repeat.

I'd be intrigued in Carlton now if their mission wasn't written in crayola because I feel the same way somewhat.

Hiring the big name without due diligence got us Malthouse. Process got hawthorn Clarkson instead of Rodney Eade or Terry Wallace.

Exactly, and that's why we want Clarkson - Hawthorn's process found a real diamond and we want to throw lots of money to get it!!! 😂

2 weeks in and Sayers is learning what it means to be the chairman in a voluntary role. He is used to wielding power as a chairman in business - in those circumstances his colleagues have no choice and must fall in line.

As a new Blues president he has less actual power - colleagues leak, background and wield power. Yet, the sh*t stops with him and he gets the heat, and blame for every mis-step and **** up the club makes. Steep learning curve for such an experienced businessman.
This

Sayers has been in the job for not even 3 weeks and people are already calling him not fit for the job as he tries to navigate the most difficult and challenging period our club has seen off the field in a long, long time.

Absolute tripe.

So who is most responsible for creating this 'most difficultand challenging period'?
