Nice. Ideally, you wouldn't be putting 1 year deals in front of 23yo pick 6s, but glad they have actually at least made an offer to keep him.
I imagine it's more of a 'we know you can get more years and more money elsewhere, so we're either daring you to ask for a trade, or stay a year and prove yourself'.

I have no idea whether Clarko will coach us - it seems like a longshot to me.

However, if I was one of the 17 other coaches that have a job (well maybe aside from McRae) I’d be hoping he does coach Carlton. Would be nerve-wracking having an unsigned Clarko floating around for 12 months.
