Nah he was told before then he was not getting another contract. There is something NQR about it ...

When talented players get told to look elsewhere, it's typically 'off field' issues and/or lack of professionalism.

I get that vibe from Ladhams...nice highlights package but lacks consistency. Still, you'd think Port would want to hang onto him but they don't. My feel is he's not the most professional of athletes, who likes to party and isn't 100% committed. They type to skate by on talent but not push to get the best out of himself.

Ladhams was suspended for breaching COVID by hosting a house party.

I think Ladhams has been told to look for a new club as a bit of a warning that his behaviour might not be up to scratch. The word in Adelaide is that he's not doing the right things off field, hence being told to look elsewhere.

Yep ..

A pick around 8 to 12 is his value be disappointed if we took anything less
I've been a fan of SPS over the years and was very excited by his skill set, but I'm sorry to say based on his performances if a club offered that for him, they'd be extremely negligent. If we got a pick in the late 20's we'd be very pleased and move on.

Who's side are you on here?
I'm on Carltons single figures for sure, while sending a message out to any Eagles supporters reading our thread in the background

The realistic side ....

Please stop.
If we pull off the steal of the decade and get like pick 8 for SPS I hope the club thanks Dunna personally for all the work put into this on the Bigfooty forum, scaring those Eagles fans straight.

I'll buy him a platinum membership!

You should post this on the "Official CFC trade valuations, by Marc Austen: Recruiters get your honest intel on bargain dealz here" thread

The mail is that WC were keen to offer Brander a contract, but that about midway through the season he communicated to the club he would not be accepting any offer and wanted to be traded. This supposedly contributed to Brander basically never being selected after the mid-year break, when the rift occurred.

WC fans speculate that part of the desire to leave was because he felt he wasn't being developed as a forward, so the suggestion Carlton are considering him for a position on the wing isn't ideal for him. But he may have burnt too many bridges at WC to stay.

It was very apparent he played injured most of this year...was clearly off the pace fitness wise when he came back from the PCL....

We are getting in to a whole different debate here, I too thought he was rushed back and I still think he should have been dropped at stages, this was bad management by the club, Jack though, was still very disappointing last year too.

We will see what happens next year.

Smells like a desperate attempt by WCE to " build" some sort of story, in an attempt to boost his trade value
