We are using this off season to set up our salary cap for the medium term by getting McKay, TDK sorted and cleaning up any loose ends.
Do not expect any big name players coming across although I'm sure we'll still see us linked to them nonetheless.

In fairness the poster didn’t say they would be traded for this player though. If we brought in a big name inside mid those two would be affected by being told they’re no longer required.

Grundy's form drop off has been stark since his stellar 2019 season.

If they're paying 30-40% of his salary - and his contract was frontloaded some - then you're paying 400 thousand for Brodie Grundy. If he can get anywhere near where he used to be, that's a ****ing steal.

I've never really found Hopper to be all that.

Besides having to find approx 1.5 mill a year for lots of years, I struggle to see how they could get it done with trade collateral.

Not if he can't get on the park. Played a lot of footy in the ruck as a 20yr old. History isn't good for similar rucking prodigies. (Kruez, Josh Frazer).

I think we have unsuccessfully rolled the dice on enough injury prone players.
