If Cerra can go anywhere near replicating that 5 game end of season patch at the end of 2021, he'll win the Brownlow, comfortably.

Those numbers crap all over anything Taranto has yet produced and AC has 2 years on him.....

So yeah, Taranto and Hopper need to be judged accordingly.
Cerra is Brownlow material now.....

And win it comfortably....

Taranto averaged 28 disposals, 6 tackles and 5 clearances a match in his 3rd season.

I think you need to pump the brakes a bit dude...

Read the post.

I didn't say Cera will replicate those numbers. I said if he did.

And sure, it's a 5 game snippet - from a developing 21yo - but those numbers match or beat any 5 game snippet from Taranto's career.

So, no need to pump the brakes....his upside is huge.

I don't think Taranto has much upside, as good as he is now....

I read the post. And the more you post, the more ridiculous you sound.

Took me about 10 seconds, but Taranto's game 46-50 stretch as a developing 21yo:

Averaged 32 touches, 7 tackles, 6 clearances.
Polled 7 votes over the five matches, which is more than Cerra has polled in the last four seasons combined.
Kicked 3 goals, which is almost what Cerra averages in a full season.

But sure, keep telling yourself that Cerra's purple patch is better than anything Taranto has produced....

PS - I am a huge Cerra fan. Not trying to talk him down, just pointing out your claims are wearing blue-coloured glasses....

I like Anthony Munkara and Lloyd Johnston, Dewar from WA, WC NGA, but I rate him higher than most

Keeler and Hewett, but most have then higher than I would
I'd love to get a mid with more of an inside-outside balance. Most of our current mids are one or the other. From the write ups, Hewett would seem to be the best fit. Would that be right, or do draft watchers think there would be some other options for a balanced mid?

I ain't that keen on Hewett. Had a great under age year, but seems to have gone backward this year.

If you are looking at that type, prefer Mitch Szybkowski, similar to Tom Sparrow

I'd call him his own player. He plays various roles, never shirks a contest, a bit quicker than Newnes. I'm not sure where the comparison comes from to be honest, except to turn people off the idea.
It comes from the post I quoted “Setterfield upgrade” IMO more like a Newnes upgrade - hence Newnes 2.0 which I believe is a more apt comparison.
Do u believe he’s more than a “B” grade player?

Buckenara  thinks they will make Top 4 next year

It really is amazing how much crap people in the media spout about * being on the verge of something special or whatever. 😂

Our list has * covered everywhere and you’d never read articles like that about us in the media. Not that I’d want to. I get the shakes just thinking about outsiders being nice to us.

I’m a bit with this. There are a large amount of athletes world wide who take about a week off, then do maintenance for a few weeks, then build again. Doesn’t feel like our guys follow that script. But who knows.
ant agree at all. It’s a long time until 2023. We will be up and about.

Reading the odd list management thread on other boards (e.g. Melbourne, Essendon, Freo) - a few seem to have McKay pencilled in to their full forward spot ???

A Melbourne comment was give McKay Jacksons money.

I think our ITKs should recognise the particularly tough end we had to our season, given all the false hope we were given due to our team being in the eight the entire season then choking, and find it within their hearts to throw caution to the wind and flood this thread with every tid-bit passed on.

Jon Ralph saying at half time that Liam Henry is a watch this space, his considering his future. Would we look at him? I’d love him at our club
I might be alone on this but I love him. Was big on him his draft year but NGA so knew we wouldn't get him. Would be what we need too, classy user on a HFF or the wing.
