1) Using Sheedy to flip the numbers to take control of board

2) Having the foresight to make a coaching panel that didn't include Sheedy because of his obvious bias

3) Giving Sheedy the middle finger by putting one of his arch nemesis Robert Walls onto the panel

4) Making Sheedy's board position untenable by baiting him to come out with a comment like this

I get it from Sheeds point of you, him and Hird went through a lot of success and they live in that bubbled reality but its at the expense of the footy club big picture if they can’t let go of their ego to see what the club is doing. It wouldn’t surprise me if they actually viewed it as “we can’t have Scott as coach, he was on that Lions team”. Boys club mentality, just isn’t as relevant anymore, Geelong let go of that mentality fifteen years ago.

If Hird is so interested why not apply as an assistant of development at the club.

Nothing to do with wanting Hird, he is entitled to that opinion.

But the board has been pushing this united front thing since the external review was called, you can't preach that then let one of your board members go out on their own and spill details about a board vote because they don't like the decision.
