It doesn't make a mockery of it though.

It suits Gatto to stick up for Charters now since he has profited from organising him to stay silent.

Let's face it, Essendon approached Gatto to stand over Charters and pay him off, Elliott and Gatto have both admitted the club approached him.

No surprises that Mick is saying it's all above board and Charters is the only bloke he has ever been associated with that deals in legal drugs.
Except it's exactly what both said at the time too. And there's zero proof of the hypothesis that he pressured him. It's nothing but BigFooty speculation

I doubt they care tbh. I find it almost more amusing than anything. It's such a blatant attempt to try and wring some last bucks out of it all, from Wally and Elliot, from Newscorp, from The Footy Show, from Gatto Inc. In reality, it's old news with nothing new, and only the more obsessed are believing it's anything more than what it is.

Pretty much of same opinion. Largely rehashed news and more than likely thrown out there by the HUN to keep the story rolling as there is dollars in it.

Who to believe? A retired politician (of course , they never tell mis-truths) "No-one from Essendon met Mick Gatto." OR a known underworld figure "Ï met with someone from Essendon." Such a moral dilemma!

Fancy them sometimes meeting people that don't live in Carlton or Brunswick

Are the dumplings being served in a Miso broth??

I won't be watching TFS, doubt a salvo will be fired.

Actually kinda shocked that it took until p. 14 for dumplings to get a run...

Mmmmmm...miso and dumplings.

EDIT; blackshadow, my most humble apologies...

I listened to most radio coverage of this issue this afternoon, and they all avoided what I thought was the juiciest aspect: the hacking of Elliot's email account, and the deletion of all his emails pertaining to the injection regime, and the stealing of invoices from his desk. If only he had his keyboard brushed for fingerprints. This is the fraud he was referring to. I'm going to state the bleeding obvious, and say that this stinks of a cover-up, and it will drag on until the lying f**ks at EFC come clean. And if there's a god in heaven, we'll see Robson put under oath. Snake. Tells a two time premiership player that's he's more red & black than him. WTF. Pencil pushing piece of ...... (fill in the blank).

If they wanted to persuade Charter to testify, they would have got Hird to talk to him. The only reason you get Gatto involved is if you want to shut Charter up. The only reason you pay the Weapon a million bucks, is to shut him up, and the only reason you fire bullets into Dank's house is to shut him up. I kind of wanted this over so the EFC lies would stop. But f**k that. There's certain rats that jumped off that sinking ship who better be held accountable. And don't buy it when the EFC says that they shouldn't be held accountable because all the major players have since moved on. I call bulls**t on that.

And to the commentators who whine that this is dragging on, and 'why can't we just get back to football', and 'why should poor EFC be put through this over and over again', I say you can't read us a story for four years, and then shut the book without reading the final chapter. We read your shi**y articles every day for four years and listen to your dreadful talkback, and then you say, well let's just put that aside and get back to watching footy. No. We gave you good ratings, now give us a resolution.

Essendon now claiming Wallis trying to blackmail them

"Former Essendon premiership player Dean Wallis allegedly made a series of late-night irate and threatening phone calls to senior people within the AFL and Essendon and is now one of the subjects of a blackmail investigation by police.

Wallis, a two-time premiership player, is understood to have called AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan, Essendon chief executive Xavier Campbell and his predecessor, Ian Robson, making serious allegations and threats."

"Now"?

Hasn't that always been the position? That implies they've changed their tune expediently. They called the cops in. Tweets from journalists this morning confirmed that's the EFC view.

If this is what's happened it is not good for Wallis at all

"Xavier Campbell is understood to have informed the league that demands had been made for money by Wallis as part of the compensation claim but also by Elliott Snr that unless money was paid then they would go to the media with serious allegations."

Wow, that's a straight up criminal act if proven. So is it Elliott's dad that's been blackmailing?
