Gee is that why Buckley was listed as Collingwoods second best player by the age on Saturday and their third best against Sydney. Keep your insane Buckley jealousy out of this. Not all players finish their last two matches on 15 clangers like Hird did. This thread is about Essendon. Do you have to continuously mention Collingwood and Buckley. You can't help yourself. That was a joke. Where did Buckley finish the game when it was there to be won? Couldn't get on the park in front of top level players like Richards and Bryan? No? Sounds like a liability to me.
WHy would I be jealous of Buckley, I've had years of Hird and everyone knows Hird>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Buckley.

Is that why Hird. lists Archer as his toughest opponent and Buckley as the best he has played against. So sad when you don't even respect your own champions opinion. At least Hirdy set a new record in his last two matches, most clangers in a two match period by any player this year. Oh so sad.

Does anyone actually give a shit who released what information about Neale Daniher not getting the gig? Is there anyone in this country that thought Daniher was going to get it???
As for ladder positions, doesn't really matter. At the end of the day this game is about winning premierships, not playing in Grand Finals or Preliminery Finals, if that were the case Collingwood would be the most successful side in VFL/AFL history, but alas, it is the Blues and the Bombers who have both failed to make the finals in several seasons.
If you read between the lines, it is better to build a team that will win a premiership than it is to build a team to play in finals! IMO
Hird recieved brownlow votes in his last game, now he will take his 2 Premiership Medals and retire gracefully. I'm sure Bucks would love to do the same

I couldn't be happier that Essendon are going to be in shackles in the dungeon for years to come.
Without doubt the most spoilt and dis-respectful supports getting around. The entire club has expected everything on a plate for the last two decades. God forbid if they are hardly done by.
At least Richmond supporters have faith in their administration. At least Collingwood balance their arrogance with respect for other clubs and their supporters.
I've had a gutful of Essendon and their silver spoon attitudes. All I can hope for in the next few years when Essendon are locked in irons in the basement is that Carlton have more success and get some back on all the Dons supporters who have layed the boots in in recent times.
What goes around comes around Dons and you deserve the full whack.

I'm yet to see one logical arguement saying why we're a rabble. Or why we're screwed onfield. Or why any of these supporters clubs have had more success recently than us.

Logical argument, you have finished 12th, 15th and 13th in the past three years and with the retirement of Hird your list has got worse. You have few talented youngsters, only one rising star nomination over 2 years and you have close to the worst list in the league.
Hird finished his career with a brownlow vote, Buckley (possibly) finished his on the bench while his side lost a game. HIrd may think Buckley is the best he has played on (which I have never heard and doubt) but he's still not as good as Jimmy. Jimmy can't after all play on himself.
