Might be wrong but i thought we played the highest ranked winner - which will now be winner of Williamstown v Richmond.

Correct. Frankston plays Southport at Fortress Fankhauser. Box Hill will play the winner of tomorrows game.

If 12 is the maximum number of AFL games played by players who have played a minimum of 6 VFL games (unless Hawthorn are playing on the same weekend), my calculations indicate 18 players qualify and are hopefully fit for selection. Jiath could play if Hawthorn are playing.

Based on the above criteria, the Hawthorn players who have qualified should be Morrison (10 AFL games), Reeves, Wingard, Stephens, DGB, Ward (10), Ryan, McCabe, Serong, Maginness (11), Phillips, Ramsden, Scaife, Mitchell, MacDonald, O’Sullivan, Hustwaite and Tucker.

I think that means the only debatable/exception required would be for Jiath?

CJ has only played 11 AFL games (albeit every week when fit) - would it be better for him to get a run in the VFL game before any AFL final(s!)

A quick note - I believe the minimum is now only 3 VFL games this season and this only happens if Hawthorn are eliminated. So for example next week during the bye the team AFL team used last week will be used for eligible players (if they didnt play last week or was the sub, they can play this week)
