I used to love playing against bundoora in junior days at their ground. The sight of 12 year old kids with rat tails and WU-TANG plastic pants gave me many a laugh over the years. Apart from the fact that we always used to come out of that ridiculous ground with a win, we always used to get quite a chuckle out of the dribble that used to scout around the outer. Dunno about the senior club as i havent seen them at all, but the junior club is a disgrace and they probably should all be put down so they dont conceive more welfare grabbing, anti social white trash.
Any thoughts??

the coach has lost all his credibility after his history has been exposed. Any form of denile from him in regards to sending his step son back on to belt another player is total rubbish

He has no history at all. Get your facts right.

mate...bundoora are to blame.. ivanhoe didnt provoke this attack in anyway....bundoora are a mob of dogs who cant loose gracefully but have to go out with a bang.. my main reason to prove you wrong is that i have been in contact with an under 15's bundoora player who told me that the colts planned this attack at their training during the week, this in the end just shows you that ivanhoe are not to blame as the attack was pre-meditated..and also if ivanhoe retaliated then why would they have formed in a tight huddle like a real team would and jog off the ground to avoid any stupidity shown by the bundoora team?

Again absolute rubbish. I was at training. Mate you are getting into dangerous legal territory.

Ivanhoe have always been a bunch of squealing pansies. Wouldn't surprise me if an Ivanhoe player pushed his own mum in front of him to save him. What the hell are rich kids playing footy for anyway? Can't they go play polo or some other gay, rich sport.

What happened wasn't good and no doubt Bundoora played a big part in it. Ivanhoe are noted squeelers and don't like it hard.

Why would a team pre meditate an attack which if they had won would of ensured they didn't have enough players to field a team in the grand final?

Even then please tell me how an u15's player would know what was going on at colts training a whole two weeks after their own season had finished?????

Spot on Tyrone!

Bundoora are seriously not to blame for this incident, you accuse them for starting a fight which was unprovoked and pre-meditated, what do u base this on, a boy which plays for the under 15's side, which u also claim was told by the Under 17's coach at training, the under 15's had never trained with the colts boys throughout the whole season, i was a spectator from the begginning of the match and i had witnessed name calling throughout the whole game by yelling out racial slurrs and also calling them names labelling them as dirty dogs, scum etc. So u can not honestly say that it was unprovoked.

There is no doubt that the Bundoora players were called lots of things. That isn't tolerated where they come from. But it doesn't justify everything that happened. I believe that Bundoora have got some crucial facts that they don't want revealed just yet.

Interesting material that ill keep that in mind next time I am slagged on this site... ill issue a "I think you need to be very careful about what you say" that should cover me legally

You reap what you sow, don't come on here and slag if you don't intend on being slagged in return. If you did genuinely intend to engage in discussion on the matter, maybe next time you'll ask for peoples opinions before spraying yours so aggresively.

Footybrain, it's to the credit of Ivanhoe that they were able to win the game. I never condoned Bundoora's behaviour at all nor said that being "scum" or a "squealing pansie" had any bearing on the result on any football game. Everyone knows that football games are always decided on football ability and teamwork.

I do think the fact that it is Ivanhoe, as opposed to someone like TallyHo or SFX, that this has generated such media attention. Even though it is wrong to retaliate, if you guys had of fought back this would never have made the news. The fact that you guys didn't retaliate, has allowed the ever-opportunistic media to portray Ivanhoe as the helpless victim (that may well be the case), thus generating so much sympathy and attention from the general public. However Bundoora's version of events has not been put to the public at all, making this an unfair and one-sided affair. The media outlets have portrayed Bundoora in a very bad light, and the public have them already convicted as guilty before they've even been put to trial.

Would a civilized kid do this:
Running on pumping his fists
Smack other team members repeatedly for no reason at all
Changing his jumper to hide his number

Now ask yourself.. what kind of person does this?

See this where your disregard for the facts brings you undone. He did not change jumpers and didn't even get off the ground before he ran back towards the centre.

I don't know a great deal about these clubs but can I ask a question? If Ivanhoe don't like it hard, how did they beat Bundoora by 80 odd points?

Now if I’m mistaken, this thread was set up to discuss the past events that took place on Sunday, the event that will lead to Ivanhoe playing Bulleen Temp. in the grand final and the event which saw cops pulling up to the ground after the match, due to a scuffle that took play during and after the game.

Now if I’m not mistaken none of the Ivanhoe boys were held back by the police, but that’s probably because we’re a bunch of ‘noted squealers and don’t like it hard’ or is it the fact that we didn’t complain on the day in the same manner that the Bundoora boys did?

I mean the Ivanhoe boys didn’t walk up behind or for that matter sprint up behind and punch another opposition in the head. Now if this is your way of settle your grievances when some kid calls you a nasty word, you’re a thug and should get what you deserve, any thoughts?

I mean the film evidence that I’ve seen shows many thugs/players running up behind the match winners and punching them in the back of the head, suggesting again, Bundoora are weak...

I'll think you'll find they dug their own hole and the hole was deep without the media... the yarra official that was belted (read the herald sun for the quote from the Yarra Official) is more then enough ammunition the league needs. Clear something up... you have bundoora officials appologising for the events after the game then you have people claiming things never happened!

Has anyone been suspended? Was there a hearing this week? Read in the paper that their was tribunal last night?? Results?

One Bundoora player who got suspended for 2 weeks. That was the only player that was reported. Lots of mitigating circumstances were accepted by the tribunal I believe. Ivanhoe have chosen to go running and squeeilng to the media. All will be revealed I am sure at the right time.

Bundoora defeated Ivanhoe easily earlier in the year I believe (50-60 points) but with so many out were always going to struggle. Congratulations to them. They seemed to be playing pretty outside running football. Don't worry mate there were Ivanhoe players throwing punches back. Like I said Bundoora are biting their tongues and all will be revealed at the appropriate time.

I remember a few years back, i got threatened by a guy with a knife just outisde the bundoora changerooms while at an invanhoe game a teammate got knocked out by some thug. Seems that in the outer suburbs there's a bit of ill feeling, recent interest rate rises taking their toll?

Victoria Police have asked for the video footage of the game.
Expect criminal charges to be layed in regards to what occured, funny enough players that maybe charged as result of the investigation will not result in life long criminal recorded seeing they are under the legal age of 18.

To the people who condone what occured, just think about it from a parents point of view i.e Would you like your son/brother/dad coming home from a local footy match with a brokem jaw etc?
I can answer that for you...NO!

All you're doing is quoting things from the Herald Sun article, which is based completely on the opinions of people at the game. The article is clearly weighted in Ivanhoes favour, and the author does his credibility no favours by admitting to sighting this thread which is filled with vitriol, here-say and second hand facts.

When the official findings are handed down by the appropriate authorities (YJFL & the Victoria Police) i'm sure you'll have everything cleared up. For now, go to bed, you're got work at 5:30 am.

It was my understanding that the injuries to Ivanhoe players was minimal. By reading some of the biased rubbish posted on this site you would think that many were seriously wounded. Again I am told that all has not been revealed yet.
