That what I cannot work out with you guys,
Brad does not want to Leave, the Crows want to keep him, However, will entertain letting him go for a band 1 compo pick.
Stike 1 illicit drug plenty will not affect the end result,
If he Goes the Crows get Band 1, Full stop.

I love how you accuse others of making up 'facts' yet you postulate like you're being factual lol.

I just stated that no club seems to be entertaining offers that elicit Band 1, which is why it's been put to you guys that Brad and Adelaide would have just gone 'yep looks like it looks like there's not the level of interest we'd like, let's get you that contract Brad' - if that was the only factor in play.

Lol, the strike will definitely affect him, and even the majority of your own board knows that this has changed things. It's why Essendon got Jake Stringer for only Picks 25 and 30, instead of the Pick 11 they gave to GWS for Dev Smith - which was earmarked for Stringer prior to his wife's revelations re: cheating on her with an underage schoolgirl.

Crouch took out a kid - Stengle - who already had a strike against his name, and as a leader of the club, Crouch led Stengle down the garden path, where Stengle's career is now on a knife's edge. I'm sure other clubs want that kind of attitude around their young draftees, lol.

At the very least, it's affected the amount any club will pay him in his next contract - including the Crows. Not sure your club is going to be like 'now Brad we know you just got a strike for doing coke in the off-season, but seeing as it's a first offence, have a hundred thousand dollar raise.' That's like a kid stealing your Mazda 6 and crashing it while drunk, and then buying him a new BMW the next day.

There is no 'full-stop' we get Band 1 or he doesn't go. That's complete hyperbole on your part. Failure to recognize that highlights your significantly biased attitude - something you've accused Melbourne media and Vic posters of ad nauseum.

What I cant work out with you guys
Brad does not want to Leave, the Crows want to keep him ...

and Geelong have offered what they want to offer ... which is , according to reports, closer to band3 than band1, ..so unless there is another suitor.. you have your man. draw the contract pass the pen and scribble down the ink. He is all yours ...

If he is not so happy to stay then it changes. ... but most Crows have posted he wants to stay ...then thats the end of it.
It's pretty simple equation.

Crows preference is pick 2 over Brad, but if pick 2 isn't attainable then he likely stays.

Brad wants to stay & ok with his current salary, but wants more years than the Crows were offering.

What do you think it takes to get band 1 exactly?
Do you know,
Basically, it needs to fall into the top 5%
The AFL players are listed from 1 to 100, top 5% are Band 1, which is roughly Top 36 highest-paid players in the AFL,
However, due to Brad being 26 he gets 10 age bonus Points which moves that top 36 out to top 45 to 50,
The length of the contract only come into effect when there is a tie, 4 years would put a person at the higher end, in that case, Lot of players on 700K
Base on the several articles out this year, In order to get to Band 1 he would need to be 700K, 650K would be a stretch,

End of the day who cares Brad is only leaving the Crows on Bigger money and longer contract that already in front of him,
Anyone beats that and he will get Band 1,
And for info he has mentioned several times he will stay in Adelaide for less Money, Something a lot of commentators seem to forget.

And yes it is if only Geelong were interested in him,
By the way, the single person who first penned that article most are using has no Idea,
Completely rules out that the Crows have a bigger contract in front of Brad, They seem to think he wants to leave and will take anything, completely wrong.
All the Crows are saying to Brad which has been mention several times in Adelaide is have a look if you get better offer, let us know.

Mate your wrong,
Fact is I mention the Crow will match any offer that is not a Band 1 compo, did not say he getting offers,
Also, his strike 1 will not affect his contract offers, that story is only coming from the Media,
Also, Strangle did not have a Strike against him, he was punished for not reporting an issue to the Club and Hiding it, He was then given a 2-year deal shortly after, Again something people have forgotten.

As for Band 1 Compo that is what it will take to beat the offer currently in place, Soi year forgive if I say it Band 1 or no deal,

I just gave you an example of how the strike will affect his contract...where is your example of how it won't?

...but he doesn't? No new contract has been put forward - Brad himself has stated that
Yes no new Contract has been put forward,
He had a contract put in front of him earlier in the Year, Talks were halted due to AFL requirements, Once Talk were allowed to continue, they move towards find out what your worth and get back to us, which has been mention several times by Brad, his manager and the Crows,

I don't care what you do match etc BUT get real, pick 2 is never going to happen. The AFL is not going to rort the system either as it means they will then need to rort it for Essendon also.

Re-sign, match, do whatever but get at least semi-realistic. The logic if we get angry enough the AFL will rort the system is just stupid.

You forgot the part where you withdrew your offer.

Crouch does has his offers now and then last week the Crows were going to decide whether to match or not.

If they were going to match, surely he would just re-sign and not go through the offer sheet process?

The problem is that this feeding frenzy that you thought would happen, doesn't exist.

Can you show me a quote from the crows saying they will match any offer that isn’t band 1?

Did They, it was Talked about, But not withdrawn Talks were withdrawn due to the AFL investigation
I will expect we will most likely find out more next week after the AFL handed down the plenty, and open up discussions,
As you must remember the Crows were about to get serious before the strike 1,

The Crows had an offer which was withdrawn due to COVID. It is not back on the table even now. It could be if they wanted.

You can say what you want but you withdrew his offer and haven't put anything else on the table.

I can't believe Crows fans are so blind, you don't want to keep him.

And you know that for sure, Talks were put on Hold, The reason there was any talk about Contracts was because of the AFL proposal of reducing the Cap, the List size etc, which if it happens would have created a situation where the contact would have to be redrawn,
It was not a simple process,
Lets us sit back and wait a week,
