I believe a few on hear do not understand all the Facts,
1 Brad does not want to leave the Club,
2 He is looking at a monetary increase and length of time contact,
3 The Crows are happy for him to stay, and some want him to stay, but band 1 also enticing,

So let's get this very clear to all those who think Brad will leave the club for unders,
It not going to happen full stop, The Crows will match anything under band 1,

And it laughable to even think Geelong have offered him a contract that is less than what the crows offered him in Jan, That is just a wannabe reporter trying to big-name himself.

If you're interested in keeping to facts you should really be phrasing points 1, 2, and 3 as questions:

1 Does Brad want to leave the Club?
2 Is he looking at a monetary increase and length of time contract?
3 Are the Crows are happy for him to stay? Do any want him to stay? Is band 1 remotely possible?

OK I will answer your questions
1 Yes Brad wants to stay at the Crows
2 He is via his manager testing the waters to find out what his value is.
3 Yes the Crows still want to keep him but Band 1 is enticing

So based on observation:

1. If he was staying then why didn't he do joint media after the drug incident?
2. Current media coverage indicates that his external offers are less than his current contract
3. They were never a shot at band 1, so why haven't they just signed him?

The Atkins contract boggles the mind but the Crows didn’t rate Greenwood either and he has been phenomenal for us so who on Nowa
Greenwood was pretty bloody ordinary for us in 2019..

In and out of the side due to poor form.

Hes always been a good quarter followed by two quarters where he goes missing followed by a good quarter type player.

I have no doubt Adelaide wouldve wanted a bit more than what they got from gold coast.. not much, bit a little bit more.. but Gold coast had the upper hand at the trade table because they had the PSD threat..

And everyone also forgets that Greenwood himself did not want to leave the crows.. he said so numerous times in the media.

He just wasnt a required player for the revuilding team given his form was so erratic.

Maybe B Crouch was happy to stay, until the club told him to find a better deal elsewhere. Bit rich to expect to match anything and expect him to want to stay after that...
His manager shopped him around at the end of last season.. bit rich for him to be upset with your theory..

But every interview he’s done in the last six months he has stated that he’d be happy to stay at the crows.

Hilarious the premature ejaculators on this thread all squealing about how he doesnt want to be at the crows because if he did he wouldve re-signed by now..

There’s still weeks before the FA/ trade period commenses... relax.. ol robbo here is just about poppin a vein over it all!..

1. No, his preference is to stay.
2. He has said length of contract is more important than the salary & reason he rejected our offer earlier in the year (which wouldn't have been less than his current $650K pa salary).
3. AFC were hoping for band 1, but it's an outside chance... otherwise his value is to remain.

Greenwood was good for us when not injured.

His issue like Brouch was he wanted a longer deal that AFC were unwilling to give.

Has anyone actually got a link to this $450k a year article from Clark yesterday.. one that hasnt got a paywall?..

Did he actually say “geelong have only offered $450k a year”

Or

did he say “Geelong arent sure they want brad atm but if they do they might only be able to offer $450k a year (due to salary cap constraints) so they probably wont get him anyway”..

Because i’ve been told its the latter... but I’m unable to read the full article..

Anyone that thinks brad is going to another club for $450k a year is pulling themselves.

Wow You definitely live in Melb, Brad happens to talk every week over here maybe you missed his last couple of months. It may surprise a few but he has been honest, Problem is Most over the border believe he wants to leave and that is totally incorrect. 100% incorrect.
1- Joint media, no need to, what was required is the Club and the Players to make a statement, the joint statement will come when they decide what happens in the future, as most AFL club do,
2- Current media coverage from Melb by reporters living in Melb, who have no contact with Brad or the Crows, and are Guessing, they have no idea what on the table, He has offer equal if not better than his current contract, let's face it they cannot get the heads around the simple fact, that Brad wants to stay and Crow want to keep him, they believe all the talk;k coming out of Adeliade is false and they are correct.
3- The Crows and Brad have mentioned several times in the media, they waiting to see what the offer are, and will submit there update offer after all offers have been table, Some would call this smart business practice,
And in saying that they will match most offers, however, if an offer put him into Band 1 then it may change,

We wouldve given him longer if he was one of our best players though.. he wasnt.
If we were in a premiership window we would have kept him & Keath... but we are in a rebuild.

Did you have to ask.

Clark is making it up & Cats haven't come out & said Brad is with $450K.

There’d be quite a handy list of ex crows scattered throughout the other teams atm, not quite Giants level but there is still plenty around, Greenwood a perfect example.

On a list in 2020. Almost a full 22.

B: xxx Davis Keath
HB:xxx Lever Henderson
R: Jacobs Dangerfield Lyons
C: Curnow Greenwood Ellis-Yolmen
HF: McGovern McKernan Cameron
FF: Gunston Jenkins Betts

+ Tippett, Vince, Kerridge, Wigg and others who retired or were delisted recently

The only problem with this though is, is that it's been put forward a few times that no club looks like they're going to be putting forward something that will net you Band 1. Essendon is probably the only live possibility, but not sure a club going through its own culture fallout after a drawn out drugs saga, wants to bring in a guy who just got a strike against him for getting on the nose beers

Not sure I’d want a fair few of those lads off this years, and recent years, performances..

Mcgovern is terrible and we got massive overs for him.

Jenkins.. meh, we got the best of his footy. Hes cooked.

Betts and jacobs the same.. we got their best years but in 2020 these two have been shite.

Lever?.. no thanks. And we got massive overs for him in a trade too.

Keath?.. i didnt watch much of the bullies this year.. did he go alright.. altgough i did read an article the other day saying he wasnt that great for them..

Danger?... yes please.. but its all downhill for him from now on given his age.. only 2-3 years left really.

Would love Lyons and Cameron to still be on our list.

Gunstans still a gun.

Davis?.. rather we keep our current backline. No need for him.

The others?.. meh..

That what I cannot work out with you guys,
Brad does not want to Leave, the Crows want to keep him, However, will entertain letting him go for a band 1 compo pick.
Stike 1 illicit drug plenty will not affect the end result,
If he Goes the Crows get Band 1, Full stop.

What gives it away that i "definitely live in Melbourne"?

I happen to have listened to a lot of Adelaide MMM for someone who definitely lives in Melbourne

What do you think it takes to get band 1 exactly?

Brad does not want to Leave, the Crows want to keep him ...

and Geelong have offered what they want to offer ... which is , according to reports, closer to band3 than band1, ..so unless there is another suitor.. you have your man. draw the contract pass the pen and scribble down the ink. He is all yours ...

If he is not so happy to stay then it changes. ... but most Crows have posted he wants to stay ...then thats the end of it.
