I doubt the Saints split the pick unless they know they can still get the deal done.

Not really.
I'd rate Hill's value to WC as equal to that of Kelly. Sure, WC could use some more contested grunt, but with Rioli gone outside pace and footskills are just as necessary. Onball and wing are the sides weakest areas, which is why I wish WC would consider having a crack at Smith.

For what it's worth I agree. So we all agree if St Kilda decides to split the picks Hill stays? Unless they can work something 2020 in?

Yes and you'd think that was clear to both Hill and St Kilda.
My preference is to keep Hill for the rest of his career which makes things easy

If however the pick got split and then the Saints appeared to be low balling Fremantle would that sit ok with Hill?
Maybe he wouldn't care but i'm assuming he's pretty keen to get that coin for the next 6 years and his Mrs is super keen on being back in Melbourne so he wont want St Kilda playing silly buggers.
The point is you rate him to be within the top 30 paid players in the competition

I highly doubt pick 6 gets split unless Bell/Freo have some bidding points that they need done for this year or next year.

You know I really don’t think there will be.
I think we’re all expecting the deal to get done and the price is going to be somewhere in the vicinity of 6.
If they got him for a downgraded say 10 ...I’d be pissed off for an hour and then look at who we were getting and say well played Saints.
If we got 6 and say Bruce compo ...I’d be ecstatic and St K fans pissed off for an hour and then rejoice in getting Hill.
