People get way too triggered at posturing and get upset at Bell just doing his job.

it’s posturing people.
Bell is well and truly in his rights to ask for the world. Doesn’t mean he thinks he will get it, but he has to do his job first.

relax ppl

I wonder if you could find more than 10 people who think pick 6 isnt acceptable. Or maybe pick 6 and a later pick.

Im very sure you wont find more than 2 people who, hand on heart, think pick 6 and 2020 1st pick is acceptable.

If its just posturing, who is the show being put on for?

When it turns out to be pick 6 and a 2019 or 2020 3rd round pick doesnt Bell end up looking weak for caving in?

surely Lethleen isn't that naive to think this was just going to get done because they've offered BHill a bumper deal that he'd like to take.
That’s EXACTLY what this muppet thought.
Seriously this chumps got no idea an absolute amateur.
No wonder the AFL got rid of him lol

I’d be embarrassed having him represent my football club

I think 6 is a fair swap myself.

But it’s silly to think Saints didn’t start by maybe offering a future first and trying to keep pick 6. Freo ask overs, Saints unders and they meet in the middle.

lol why do you think that's the case?

Most people are expecting you guys to go hard for Ben King next year, and thats most certainly gonna cost you because plenty of clubs will be happy to snap him up if u guys dont pay up - You'd need some serious currency to get hill and king in one trade period

For better or worse we seem to have decided that we can’t afford to lose Hill and Langdon in one year a reasonable stance really. We have made the decision that Hill is to play for us unless we get something significantly overs.

I think we have also identified that it’s probably this year or never for you guys for Hill so we’ll see how badly you want him.

Honestly, I am happy for clubs to continue to make a stand on contracted players, especially ones with 2+ years. We are clearly asking for a stupid stupid price but I think that’s probably how it should be for players that are contracted for so long, hope more clubs do similar. There is too much power in player hands at the moment, Geelong made a stand last year, Carlton the year before, happy for us to be next in line

I don’t buy into the ‘Hill won’t go back to Freo crap from Barrett’. That’s Young in his ear trying to get his client to where he wants.
Didn't young play the same trick with his client McCarthy? Would Hill play the same game? I doubt it.
Bell gets this game. Ask for way overs and then
settle for something just over. Anything more than pick 6 and a 3rd going back to me is overs. Sts have so much more on the table, no way can they afford just to give 6 with nothing back.
Maybe they shelve the Hill plan and go for Crouch?

This. Notice how the better teams in the comp tend to just get deals done, rather than resorting to posturing?

So 12 & 18 now for Hill, 2 1st rounders for Hill? 6 would have been a better pick at the top of the draft for the Dockers. No idea where this is heading.

Can I ask why everyone is so adamant that King is going to the Saints next year?
I know he has a twin but are they 5 years old?
I have twins and they play together at home like any sisters, but outside of that they have their own friends and don't need to be joined at the hip 24/7.
GC would be able them much bigger contracts than the Saints anyway, you'd suspect.
