We cant string 2 good performances in a row against bottom 4 opposition and you think we are a chance to beat top 4 sides in consecutive weeks?

Ru ok :tongueout:

Id rather have the chance than not

I would would say the log jam ladder is because every side has had dumb inconsistent Performances

our best has been good

Our record against the top 4 is good.

Remember, we almost got beaten by Norf.

Norf!

As long as we don’t play crap sides in the finals, we’re a shoo-in for the flag.

Toovey would of destroyed the entire change room if he coached us today.

Most NRL coaches would self implode with the umpiring in the AFL
Gotta love Toovs

Didn't need to put Clarke on Hind? We have a gun coming in somewhere...
HBF are overrated for a team....... Hahaha Lloyd....

Does a perfect role but that's not good enough to allow a rubbish team with a running half back to ran free.
We didn't need to tag Hind, or anyone, in the game we belted them at the SCG. So why would the coaching staff have decided we did today? Easily said in hindsight isn't it? There's no reason why the plan was to play exactly like we did at the SCG against them, just on a bigger ground.

Horse not bothering to get on the headset to discuss possible tactics in the last 5 mins of the game showed he was fed up with our performance. Clearly the message isn't getting through. I actually didn't mind it.

Hope we make some real changes for next week. I don't give a **** about skill level etc atm I just want guys to show desperation on the field.

I haven't given up on us winning the premiership this year due to the inconsistent performances of all sides in the top 8 but fck me we blew a massive opportunity at top 4 today.

Thought backline overall were ok, did not mind Fox he generated something, I do think it might be a good time to see what Gould has, SCG. He can use his size with the doggies fads, give him an easy assignment v JUH. What I like is the depth on his kick ins….question would be in for who? ….. oh yeah, Stephen’s will cop the punishment again. Harry will be an in I suspect.

First time I feel Bud is not a certain 1 yr extension.

Our ****ing pathetic zoning from the Essendon kickouts combined with the laziness of the mids led to so many instances of Rampe and a couple of other backmen leaving their men to try and cut off a Bombers forward thrust, only to leave a spare free in the Essendon forward line. I can think of at least 5 times across the second, third and fourth quarters. Yet not a ****ing thing changed with the set up from kickouts.

I think we all agree inconsistency is the big issue for us. I think we have to stare into the fact that our senior players (Franklin, Kennedy, Rampe) will still all have good games, but they are becoming increasingly inconsistent as their bodies give way.

We need to make them role players or move them on. We ain’t winning a flag with how much ball we send the way of a 35 year old forward. And we certainly ain’t wining a flag by doing the same with a 36 year old forward.

You know what, beat the Dogs and everything is forgiven
Nah, it's gonna take more than one game to regain the trust now. That really was an inexcusable loss. We're a team of mediocre primadonnas. The way we just folded in the last ten minutes was sickening to watch. We were poor after quarter time, but we kept chipping away and got ourselves in a virtually unbeatable position with 10 minutes to go against a team that had only won three games. To just lie down and let them run over the top of us so easily was disgusting. These players don't deserve our trust anymore.

Buddy had that moment like 55 out , old days would have bombed for goal, had to give off , even got back, and still nothing

still very very good, but he isnt bombing 60 metre goals off a step anymore, you are right imo, they need to be cream on top. not key matchwinners

I agree with this. Given the number of behinds we kicked, it's not like we weren't getting a chance to practice our setup on kick ins. Zoning only works if the players protect their space and work for each other. As soon as one or a few drop their intensity, an overlap happens and then we're really under the pump. Hence the bombers after the first quarter could move the ball with relative ease except for that patch in the third where we kicked 2-8. Can we go man on man just to change things up when we are going through a rough patch? Might make individuals more accountable.

And before the next time we play a team with Stringer in it, some one needs to do a Tonya Harding v Nancy Kerrigan on him. He always does freakish things to us.

Listening to the media fap over the bombers performance today should really burn the piss of this pea heart club. They didn't win. We lost it.

0.8 to start the 3rd quarter and a run of 2.14 in the midst of the game is what lost it. Truck should be thanking his lucky stars today, because if we had the testicular fortitude to make our shots, it's a 80 point loss and he's at centrelink on Monday morning

Ok. Last pissed off post from me tonight and probably a more controversial one. Next game in Melbourne, these ******* squibs don't wear the red V. They don't ******* deserve it.

Get your point, but we hardly had success in the old red v

All the posters on this site should be dropped - you’re all a bunch of effing whingers.
