If you don’t think the whole Pendles & Bucks injured/not injured reports on Sier was about his attitude, then we’ll never see eye-to-eye.

Would we be okay with Wells having a drink if he was on 600k? Nope. Just because he’s playing for less, it doesn’t mean he can drop his rehabilitation process. Especially Wells.
What are you, a Quaker? Massive leap to suggest Wells has dropped his rehab process because, to use your words, he was "on the piss at the Casino", if that is true?

Wells looked nice and lean in this week's injury report. Close to a return from a super-serious injury.

And yes, I certainly would be fine with Wells having a drink whilst on $600k. This is the guy's 17th (read it again, 17th) season in the AFL. You do not last that long without a huge amount of professionalism.

No offence meant, but you seem like you run into a lot of pies players drinking.

How does this happen?

I just report what I see. I’ve seen other players out too. Matthew Kennedy from the blues. Don’t approach any of them. See them from a distance. Like I said, I’m perfectly happy for players to have a drink, but when professionalism is a question mark- I’d prefer if the players weren’t out drinking.

That’s just my opinion.

Your sweet little avatar suggests otherwise!

If he is one or two spots away from the 22, wouldn't he have been an emergency last week?

Long bow. Was emergency the week before but had a poor VFL practice match and players who performed well in that game jumped over him.

All good.

I have approached 2 sportsman when I was on the piss and it was Cooper Cronk when he was in Sydney with Kangaroos (Aussie league side) to politely ask him if he was signing my with my nrl side, Parramatta. He was sober and very politely said no.

The other was David Hussey at the scg when he had a just signed a massive IPL deal. I shook his hand and said congrats. He was also very nice about it.

I have to admit I had drunk too much on both occasions. 🤣🤣🤣

If we rate Sier, we will keep him.

The only worry, like other posters have said, is a Witts situation where he leave for more opportunities and we are under compensated.

More speculation on Sier's future with us,

In a way it is good, it will force the club to come out and address it, to end all this speculation

Garry Lyon believes Essendon should go after Collingwood youngster Brayden Sier.

Speaking on SEN Breakfast on Thursday, Lyon said the 21-year-old Magpie is the "forgotten man of this AFL season" and claims the big-bodied midfielder is the type of player the Bombers are missing.

I’m fine with him having a drink. I prefer players who let their hair down. However when your professionalism is being questioned I would calm it down.

Callum Browns spot in Round 1 should have been Siers.

I don’t buy the niggle stuff the club is throwing. He played VFL practice games, but not JLT’s.

Callum Browns spot in round one should have been Greenwood’s.

In my opinion he is in the non-tradeable bracket. Such a big fan of this kid, will grow to be the focal point of our midfield over the next 2-4 years.

Over the last few years I had serious concerns about what happens to our midfield over the next few years when the older heads like Pendlebury Mayne Greenwood, Beams and Sidey (29/28 respectively) all start to slow down but Sier has removed that fear.

I know we have Adams and Treloar, but Sier is in the younger bracket below them and along with Phillips DeGoey Maynard and the young ones like the Browns he is center to our new generation of core midfielders.

Actually really sensible and forward thinking.

Agree. A keeper.

Considering he is out of contract at the end of this season, it might not be up to us.

Was it water or alcohol? What type of drink was it?

He can rip apart as many games as he likes but unless he can develop to play a different role he’s not going to knock Beams or Adams out of the team as the inside midfielders
Beams, Adams and Treloar are all capable of rotating forward. If Sier starts displaying the form he showed last year they’ll make room for him.

Collingwood Player misses a few games.

Media says they should change clubs.

Some things are as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning.
Somebody sees somebody drinking....

Some things are predictable.

NB if there was a real problem the media would be all over it!
The media isn’t there to be nice to Collingwood.

IF he does not then trading him be well and Truly be on the Cards

When Sier kicks 5 then he can talk.

It is obvious he has some sort of issue but I will back the Club and the leadership group on this one...…...remember the season is a marathon not a sprint people.

so like Swanny.

IF you are a Gun you can get away with a lot more then?
