I've heard it's all a misunderstanding. Other coaches told Bucks to never pick Blair again. He misheard it as never pick Bear again.
They are same same in size, but different

so like Swanny.

IF you are a Gun you can get away with a lot more then?

Spot on Dave...…….but the penny has finally dropped for Jordan now its Brayden's turn.

In my opinion he is in the non-tradeable bracket. Such a big fan of this kid, will grow to be the focal point of our midfield over the next 2-4 years.

Over the last few years I had serious concerns about what happens to our midfield over the next few years when the older heads like Pendlebury Mayne Greenwood, Beams and Sidey (29/28 respectively) all start to slow down but Sier has removed that fear.

I know we have Adams and Treloar, but Sier is in the younger bracket below them and along with Phillips DeGoey Maynard and the young ones like the Browns he is center to our new generation of core midfielders.
While, I don't necessarily disagree with your point, I think the club knows a bit more.

Bucks at the presser was asked why Sier left the ground early today.

He responded with “he has bit of a rub issue. He’s been struggling to breathe atm. I’ll let you know when the Scotts get back to me. Doubtful for the VFL this weekend”.

Not good.

Will the Hyphen has an injury, he’ll be back.

Brayden has an injury he’ll be back.

It’s a long season and let’s be a little patient for the patient.

IF he does not then trading him be well and Truly be on the Cards

I don’t think trading him is a smart option.

Needs to work on a couple things but us trading him has the potential to be similar to Kennedy leaving Hawthorn. They didn’t have room for him in their midfield and he became a star at the Swans

Let’s not give good players away.

There’s enough medium talent for Sier to surpass.
Plenty of room.

Hopefully this week off he will require due to his ribs will give him a light bulb moment that just because it all happened for him last year, it isn’t guaranteed this year; and will give him some fire in the belly to find back his form

All very good points, but here is a counter-argument - devil's advocate if you will.

I should say before I start, that I rate Sier very highly. But Ive never been a punter who equates trading a player with thinking they are no good. On the contrary if you want to get something good, you have to give up something good....

Ok so here is the argument...

2019 goes pretty similar to 2018. We have a terrific year, get bloody close again, our midfield is terrific, our small forwards deadly, our defence cohesive. We go deep into September once more but but once again our lack of key position strength costs us in the finals. The clock is ticking on our premiership window. Pendles, Sidey and Beamsy are all veterans. Our time is now. So how are we going to get a plug n play key position player to boost our chances in 2020? Now in that scenario, wouldn't trading away a kid for a ready made key position player make sense?

The rib thing doesn't sound too flash. A solid 3-5 weeks in the VFL replicating last year's VFL run and he'll be back up there I reckon. Still a step down from thinking he'd be 2 extra games into his AFL career by now..

But if we trade anyone good for a key position it better be a good one not another average one

Only problem with that senario is if we are trading Sier because he doesn’t fit into the 22 and isn’t getting a game he will have low value and certainly wouldn’t have the currency to be swapped for a ready made KPP who historically cost plenty
