It isn't an offence at all. If it is untrue he can be taken to a civil court and forced to pay damages. But it isn't a crime.

Cousins and Chick are being interviewd by Police at Poolice headquarters in East Perth as we speak.

This is related to an ongoing investigation, Police pulled over Cousins at 1030 this morning and searched his car.

It is thought that the two are being questioned over a quantity of ellicit subsatances found in the car.

His car is impounded and detectives are now talking to Bryan Cousins and a channel 7 newsreader.
