I am in no way defending Fevola actions, but I have to say there is nothing, not a single thing which I have not personally witnessed at a club awards night from some well and truly tanked player, sponsor or supporter at least 20 times in my football career.

If I wrote some of the things I have seen in my time playing footy and Fev had done them he would be in Antarctica hiding from the press.

The real story is Fev got well and truly shit-faced and ran amok.
This is not new, but it is far less acceptable now that the AFL and the Captains and the rest of the footy world have signed up to be the torch bearers for the moral minority and assume the mantle of "role model to the future perfect Australian male."

He embarrassed his club and himself, but nothing he did was worthy of so much as a fine legally.

His biggest sin was to place his Captain in a position where he had to decide between his loyalty to a team-mate and friend or his spouse.
Firstly Judd's loyalty to Fev would be an automatic response as a Captain. It comes with the job. As well as this it is believed they were actually good friends outside of football.
But when it becomes a decision between sport, work, career, or family.
Family does and should always win.

The bond of mateship would have made both Judds decision and Fev's feelings of remorse difficult to bear but once broken was just a loose thread.

Sad end really from that stand point.

The good news is Carlton have suffered again for the event.

Imagine if we secure Ball for Goldsack and then the blues come to us and say, we're ****ed, you're all that's left, we'll take 30 and Dawes

Fair? Earlier in the week the SOB's said wed have to pay a premium above other clubs to get Fev. No mercy for the scum.

Remember when they stole Nick Stevens a few years ago when he clearly wanted to come to Collingwood?

F**K OFF CARLTON!!! Not good to kick someone when they are down but in your case you deserve all you get and then some.

On principle Id rather trade Dawes to Melbourne than see him go to the scum.

Love this!! Its like going out clubbing and starting out all cool and hip "hey baby how you doin? suave and sophisticated the world and every blonde stunner is your oyster.

Then you drink and drink some more till your puking in the laneway after being kicked out of the club and when you finally manage to stagger to your feet some adequetly sized woman approaches you and asks "are you ok need some help" and you relunctantly say "yes i do can you help me sweetheart?" thats you Carlton the pissed idiot who could have had it all that night but decided to self indulge and then screw yourself.

I reckon we're in with a real crack with the Fev.

IF Davis REALLY wants to go, we could figure out a three way trade with Freo/WC to give them Leon and player "x" to get their 1st rounder

Then on trade that to get the Fev and maybe a Fringe player as well such as maybe Dawes.

Thoughts?
