Which goal did the umpires smother .. yep a copuple of dodgy ones ...but Menegola miss..Meirs. miss ... long bombs to get outmarks was exactly what Port did.
Get back to winning the ball get it in when they are not set . If the set we have to not just bomb it long along the boundary.

That non-free and the Ablett 'push' were as bad as I have seen in a while.. Add Miers crapping his dacks and Menegola spray of the century... The only ones who can kick straight are Hawkins and maybe Rohan.

Positives are our best players are those who have routinely been passengers this time of year. Guthrie, Parfitt even Menegola despite that horrendous hungry kick.
We just need Selwood and Danger to join them, umpires to actually adjudicate fairly and to tighten up the easy transition and we are good.
Only problem I see is this is so typical of many finals over the last few years where we'll get smashed in the third quarter and go into the last 4 goals down.
This year is about changing the narrative, let's start with that one.
