Because security found a naked, passed out drunk female in the Minister for Defence's office. Of course it was a potential crime scene to anybody with any common sense.

DPS and PSS went in on their day off, not to alert the AFP to this potential and ask advice but to order extra cleaning, not just once but twice.

At some point are we allowed to discuss the possibility of a cover up?
When can we consider the idea that endless mistakes, accidents, misunderstandings and coincidents that always help out one 'side', might actually have been deliberate or intentional?

Nobody's desperate to "move the topic away from the findings on Drumgold".

The ACT Bar Council engaged solicitors firm to investigate sources of evidence that could be used in a disciplinary hearing against Drumgold (as Drumgold's previous evidence from the Sofronoff enquiry could not be used against him). The council assessed that disciplinary action would be unlikely to succeed based on that report. I haven't been able to find the Council's report in which they detail their reasons yet - probably have to be a member of the Bar - but will post if I find them later.

Most of Sofronoff's findings still stand (those that survived Drumgold's appeal).

Your view on whether the Bar Council decision not to discipline vindicates him probably depends entirely on whether you sit in the pro-Dumbgold/cover-up/conspiracy or pro-Lee/Sofronoff (you described as "pro-Lehrman") camp.

You seem to be implying that nobody has suggested, let alone investigated, the possibility of a cover-up/conspiracy in the past 3-4 years. Or are you asking at what point can we ignore the evidence and judiciary findings, and start theorising about conspiracies again?

Given the head of DPS Stefanic has taken sudden leave after the NACC raided Parliament House on a warrant particular to that department, looking for anything to do with subs and Department of Defence and that the assistant NACC Commissioner has stood in, it may not have been investigated thoroughly enough on the information they had at the time.

The same Stefanic who hand delivered the DPS Report detailing the Lehrmann/Higgins incident.

This is not a conspiracy.
