Pathetic display so far by the Bullants, who don't seem to know how to play finals footy.

The same PATHETIC suspects showing they are REALLy just as bad as they are in the Magoos as they were in the Seniors, these guys don't deserve to play A or B grade footy, and doesn't show much promise for Carlton's run next year:

LIVO - crap. Possibly the worst defender of all-time.
TEAGUE - crap, needs another punch in the head.
DE LUCA - worse than crap, the worst tall I've ever seen.
PRENDA - laughing stock. Still kicks with his knee.
BANNISTER - Sheedy really humoured us with this dud.
CHAMBERS - absolute and utter rubbish
SPORN - feh. Useless
McLAREN - what a poonce.
SENTANTA - wanna hear an Irish joke?

and why or why was DIGBY MORREL delisted over these losers?
If these guys get contracts at Carlton next year, I'll see if I can get one.

Agree completely on Deluca. Worst tall in the game, except for Prendergast. How he manages to stay upright on a daily basis astounds me.

And as for Morrell, he got delisted becuase other clubs finally figured out his 'hide-behind-the-goal-post, they-will-never-find-me' trick. It didnt work after that one time, so he giot the chop.

Of that list, I would add Longmuir, absolutely hopeless. Setanta is the only one with a future at Carlton. Russell, too timid, I don't think will make it at the higher level, as he is struggling to make it at VFL. In the Bullants V Sandy game at the moment, commentator on Ch 2, Phil Cleary, a Carlton supporter, is disgusted with most of the names mentioned by Slomo. None of them can get a kick. Mitchell, in his 1/4 time address "spat the dummy". He said he picked a "Mature" side because of their experience, and they were letting him down. He could have put some younger ones in. It appeared Sandy are just brushing us aside, and the Bullies are just not prepared to hurt themselves, and do the hard things. Pathetic performance. Get rid of all the bloody no hopers mentioned and choose carefully in this upcoming draft.

In a game in which Sandringham are dominating, Livo's opponent Sautner has kicked one goal and that came from a dodgy marking decision. Livo will be gone after this season, but he certainly cannot be criticised for his endeavour in the VFL.

You aren't serious in knocking Setanta, or are you? He would have had every right to pull the pin for the season after Round 22 of the AFL, but he is still out there running around for the Bullants. B.O.G. last week for the Bullants, probably our best player in Round 22 against the Swans. This guy is anything but a joke. You need to have a good hard look at yourself, Shlomo. Your credibility is virtually shot to pieces.

Thank God we didn't end up with Mitchell - coaching moves too slow in the first quarter when the damage was done.
Teague, Prenda, Sporn, Longmuir, Deluca, and McLaren all well down.
Livo honest, Carlos making some mistakes under pressure but trying his guts out and showing some pride (started the fight at 1/4 time after slotting a 45m goal).
Very disappointing to see these guys not fighting harder for a spot.
Similar themes to the seniors - not enough pressure on ball carriers, turnovers when we win it and poor delivery to forwards.

Trade week and the draft can't come quick enough..................now, back to Goddard..........

Yep, its a pity that Jackson or Smith did'nt get the nod ahead of Teague, although Teague has been among their best recently.
I guess it was one last roll of the dice for some of these guys.
If Fraser Brown wants to throw his money in to help the club, get him to pay out Teagues contract so he is off the list next season.
While he's at it why doesn't he kick some in to the re-development of our training facilities - actually giving somthing back to the club for generations rather than just stirring the pot when it suits him.

yes they should have, did you hear barrys 1/4 time speech?
he said how soft he was at the selection table this week, saying he should of played the kids, adding that atleast they would of had a crack, this was directed at the so called AFL players, blackwell is about the only one that can hold his head high

Well, constuctive rantings, and soft excuses hasn't helped move us up the ladder one iota.

When they do in fact start moving up the ladder, expect a more 'politically correct' type of supporting to emerge.

But back-to-back spoons and a pathetic fade-out in the Magoo's Finals, doesn't hold much short-term hope for this supporter, unless SMART and SHREWD use of the draft happens over the next few months.

Bloody Pagan went on last year about how 'look what Richmond did after being bottom'..maybe Pagan should note what a difference a new coach made as well..

Disagree on Setanta. He was far from being disgraced. We have a future star here without doubt. Russell was also very good. The reason we lost was because out selectors felt obliged to play players who will finish up this year i.e Sporn, Livo, Teague, Deluca, Chambers etc. Our best team would have included Bower, Jackson, Edwards and Bryan.

Agree with the first part of your post though. The 12/10 rule precluded us from playing all of them. The same last year too. In H & A we load up full of Carlton players, which is ok because everyone gets a run at the next level, but it really affects us come finals. The young one's have been great in the 'Ants under Mitchell and in hindsight (a wonderful thing) it may have been a better idea to play them and give them experience.

Well well well, what a surprise, the bullants absolutely smashed. Totally humiliated out of the guts, not a whimper given and who has played in the guts all year you betcha JESSE SMITH yes that is right, when it is not broken no need to fix it. No doubt mitcell seen the errors of his way early today but by then it is bye bye premiership. He needed to get the balance right today, he knew that he was thin with true onballers but no, he went with all his mates today and it backfired on him.Oh and yes blacky got plenty of the ball but all cheap possys when the game is over. This was a golden opportunity for the bullants to be successfull, but they blew it at the selection table last week by dropping the kids that got them there in the first place, the smiths jacksons bowers and so on, replaced them with longy prenda setanta and persisted with jam tart chambers.There is no place in finals for sentiment, and today mitchell became the latest victim to fall for that analogy. 17 wins on the back of these kids and then see ya later we dont need you any more, yeah right.
