We did that without our best two midfielders this year in Smith (inj) and bont (tagged out of the game).

Lipinski's searing kick into Bruce's chest in the 3rd quarter was awesome. I reckon part of the ball melted it flew that fast.

We were so clean and smooth entering forward 50 tonight. I havent seen us that slick since the Eade era.

Very impressive performance, best we’ve played this year by a long way. Thought North brought it to us in the first half but we just absolutely dominated on the outside. Was great to watch.

The defense was brilliant, especially the half backs. Best our defense has looked since 2016 I think. Wood, Crozier and Williams are great as those athletic, mid sized defenders. Cordy has looked excellent since coming back and Daniel’s and Johannisen’s run and ball use was top notch. Hope we run with it long term.

Was great to see Bruce kick a bag, Schache was decent in his return. Maybe the best thing about the win was that Bontempelli and Macrae didn’t have good nights. Last year we were relying on those two and Dunkley getting 30 each otherwise we were a rabble. Great team performance tonight. Liberatore showed a lot of heart again and English more than held his own against Goldstein. Very very happy tonight. No complaints at all.

There are probably half a dozen great things from that game - West looks great, big win without Bont firing and missing Dunkley/Hunter etc.

My personal favourites are:
- List management identified we needed two talls at KPD and KPF, got them for reasonable prices and they look good (and our list profile looks ok on the back of that)
- Hopefully Match Committee refrain from playing non-AFL level players and just play the best players in their best positions and go from there.

Seriously, if Bevo and the MC can get out of their own way this could be a flag team in a couple of years.

How did everyone see Schaches game? Could easily have kicked 4 or 5.

Still too soft in the air at times. But that’s who he is. He brings lots of positives. His running. He creates space for others. His goal kicking.
He was outstanding. Genuinely robbed of 2 contested marks not being paid, plus another that looked iffy. That would've generated at least another goal or two. Really happy with his game today

Does this mean Bailey Smith and Vandermeer out for next week due to tonight's concussion?

Or does it depend on how they feel during the week. I'd hate to lose both those guys

He creates space for Bruce which to me is a ginormous positive. While he may not take every mark he should, he at least runs up the ground to create the contest to give our ground players a chance

Thought he was extremely important to our forward structures by dragging Walker away from the contest and that he should have been paid at least three juggled marks in our forward 50 that went unrewarded.

Depends how they feel. Whitfield was concussed and played the following week, so there's no rule locking them out. I'd hope we only play them if they're 100% as concussions are the last injury you want to stuff around with

Hardly missed Naughton tonight. Bruce, Schache, Dale and Wallis are a rock solid basis for a forward line, before adding in guys like West, Vandermeer, Jong, McLean and Lipinski for periods
