Bulldogs Supercoach-Dreamteam questions

1. Is Libba fit? I noticed him limp off late during the Lions game. Will he come up?

Yes.

2. Do you Dogs fans reckon he is a good candidate to be the sub or be subbed off? If Libba gets subbed off and I cop a 60 I'm in trouble. If he is the sub and I cop a 30 I'm screwed.

Yes.

Gidday Doggies mark me down as another opposition supporter who has been most impressed with Tom Libaratore. Libba is a very important player in my SuperCoach match this week as I try to counter a tough opponent in a week in which I've lost Cyril.

I have two questions -

1. Is Libba fit? I noticed him limp off late during the Lions game. Will he come up?

2. Do you Dogs fans reckon he is a good candidate to be the sub or be subbed off? If Libba gets subbed off and I cop a 60 I'm in trouble. If he is the sub and I cop a 30 I'm screwed.

Awaiting your expert advice.

regards,

REB

1. He took a kick in the leg. It can't have been to serious because he came back on shortly after when the game was dead and buried. He's fit and I'm sure will start on the ground Saturday 2.10.

2. Possibly. The way he was playing in the first half last week I thought he was going to be subbed off at half time because he was throwing absolutely everything into it, to my delight he kept that pace for the whole game. I'd be more inclined to think Markovic or Gilbee would be Sub In/Out.

Dang. Not the response I was hoping for. I've got Swallow on the bench but wasn't all that happy with his Round 2 output. My alternative is Pittard who will be making his first trip to Cat park and Hibberd who is yet to feature. ACK!

REB

Mitch Wallis is on my bench purely due to his strong grand final performance. excited to see the kid play, any idea when that will be? i know he's named as an emg, wondering how close he is to breaking into the side?

Apparently he's on stand by for this weeks game so he could be a late replacement.

I've currently got Sherman in my SC team, and I am looking at bringing in Hill in the next couple of weeks. He's been playing fairly well as of late.

How are these two players job security looking at the moment?

Hill is pretty much an enigmatic player and horrifically inconsistent. You don't know what you get on a week to week basis.

The SC scores tell a story...

Best performed: Boyd, Griffen, Murphy, Cross

Improved: Liberatore, Markovic, Higgins, Ward, Hill

If these guys can get back into form, we'll be in good shape:

Dropped off: Cooney, Grant, Lake, Gilbee, Giansiracusa

Hi guys,

Just a quick question about Adam Cooney. Is he playing injured or being tagged? He is averaging 80 odd ppg and worth 380k which I consider is very cheap for a Brownlow medalist.

I understand he doesn't average much higher than 90 - 100 ppg having looked at previous years scores but am considering him as I think he should improve his scores at some point this year.

I'm looking for a bit of a unique pick. He's cheap and if he can find his form again I reckon he should start cracking 100's in games sometime in the near future.

What is the general consensus on him so far this year?

Cheers.

At 380K he's good value. He's frustrating to own though, he could easily come out and get a 150 this week then get 50 - 60 the next 2. It's a gamble but one that could pay off he he starts to produce.

In regards to injury. No, he is not injured. He did have a serious hamstring injury late last year so that could be holding him back a little. Who knows with Adam?

He had knee and hamstring surgery, hence an interupted preseason. The knee has slowed him down this year, but slowing getting back. he is running on 4 cylinders atm.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Hopefully Cooney can get back to full fitness soon :thumbsu:

The Supercoach Round 8 Formguide (http://mp3.news.com.au/hwt/SuperCoach_Round_07.pdf) says that Eade has ruled out Higgins again

There was an article earlier in the week that said just that but then there was a snippet from this article published yesterday that says that he is not completely ruled out yet.

Only Hall and Higgins remain, but they are outside chances to play against the Tigers this weekend.

Eade last night refused to rule out Hall (ankle) for this week, saying he would be given every chance.

The Dogs have also not given up hope that Higgins can shake off groin soreness in time to play the Tigers.

FWIW I don't expect him to play. I'd be very surprised if he did.

With the return of Hargrave, is this going to effect Rob Murphy's output and position around the ground as a Half Back?

I wouldn't think so, it may free up Murphy to go forward more but I still think he'll spend more of his time across Half back.

Agreed. Plus we look for him a lot anyway, as he is such a good user of the ball.
