Dogs have more to gain from the man-on-the-mark rule, better users of the footy and better ball movement than the Saints' surge gameplan.
Stef Martin is a good pickup but has to say out there, exactly what Saints supporters were saying about Ryder this time last year.
Both teams will be up there, I reckon the Dogs could make a huge leap into the top few, and I expect the Saints to finish about the same as last year, but still an improved year on the back of a tougher draw and probably (already!!) more injury issues than 2020.
I'm more excited to see the Saints go past the old guard (Geelong, West Coast etc) rather than get in a scrap for 7th and 8th, don't think that will be an issue for the Dogs, they'll be clear of those spots.
