Finally I can bury the misery of being a WCE fan and get back to the BL. God I hate international breaks!

Wasn't the best performance by us, but then again, you need to be able to win on your off days and take your chances to be a good team. Bayern do this week in week out, and thats why they are the champions - they always find a way.

Was great to see the relief (and joy) on Marco's face when he scored. I'm sure nobody has been more disappointed at his form than he has early on this season. Also great to see PEA still getting involved. First match in the BL this year he hasn't scored, but 2 assists makes up for it.

Some interesting matches coming up this week - who would have thought that Hertha and the Blue Team would be battling for 3rd position come Matchday 9, or that Hoffenheim would need to beat Wolfsburg to stay relevant this season, or that a likely win for Ingolstadt over VfB could see them cement a place in the top 4. For the borefest that is the top position in the league, the remaining 17 spots definitely make up for it!

Dodgy non-calls end up deciding both of yesterday's games. Stuttgart needed a break like this I think though, the year has been tough on them. Andreasen should have shown better sportsmanship in the game against Köln as the bundesliga does pride itself on fair play. Pretty poor stuff.

Great confidence boosting win over Augsburg 5-1 with hattrick from Auba (on fire right now) and a brace from Reus who looks to be getting back into some solid form. Kagawa & Gundogan were great and even Sven Bender & Castro were decent today in place of Weigl & Miki.

Not sure if it was Super Sunday in the EPL or the BL this weekend ;)

Poor old Lucien Favre, he must be wondering what happened. Sitting at the bottom of the table, he resigns, and now Schubert has led the team to 5 straight wins, with 17 goals scored and 5 conceded. Truly remarkable.

Huge game from Shinji Kagawa this morning against Augsburg - really his hattrick of assists is as valuable as PEA's second hattrick of goals in 4 days. Great to see Reus on the scoresheet once again.

Check out the goals from last nights match, the first few are awfully classy, and it should have really been 5-0 seeing as Augsburg's goal was offside.

Buczko rated both Bender and Castro 9/10 which I thought was fair. First time ive seen bender play passes to the feet all day. Maybe he's learning from his lean game time. This can only be a very good thing that Bender and Castro have found form - maybe we can almost rely on them for cup matches and have greater rotation. Now, if only ramos could score...

was really good seeing Bender & Castro play well. Would like to see Gundogan & Auba get some rest too.

Hoffenheim have appointed 28-year-old Julian Nagelsmann, who has yet to pass his senior coaching examinations, as their manager from next season, which will make him the youngest ever Bundesliga head coach.

The club sacked Markus Gisdol on Monday, appointing the 61-year-oldBundesliga veteran Huub Stevens as his successor until the end of the campaign, with the Dutchman tasked with keeping struggling Hoffenheim up.

“We know this is a courageous step but we see in him [Nagelsmann] such a huge coaching talent that we want to give him a prospect,” said the Hoffenheim sports director, Alexander Rosen, who confirmed Nagelsmann had been given a three-year deal.

Briefly an assistant coach during the 2012-13 campaign, Nagelsmann will remain with the Under-19s until the end of the season as he continues studying for his senior coaching licence.

“I am looking forward to a very tempting task and I would like to thank everybody for the trust and the opportunity given to me,” Nagelsmann, who coached Hoffenheim’s junior team to the 2014 German title, said in a club statement.

Hoffenheim, backed by the billionaire Dietmar Hopp, are in 17th place with one win and six points from their first 10 games of the season.

4 more Bundesliga teams exit the Pokal this morning - Wolfsburg, Eintracht, Mainz & Hannover all losing with Mainz & Frankfurt both losing to lower league opposition.

didn't Bochum play Kaiserslautern?
Yeah they did - just saw FCK and thought Koln

Really strong win this morning from BVB - going to cause some headaches for Tuchel in who to rest for the next game! Can't really drop Castro, but can you drop Kagawa/Weigl/Gundogan? Ramos played well also - depth is finding form.

A solid 6-0 win for Leverkusen as well this morning, Gladbach continued their strong run with another 2-0 win over the blue team, and Freiburg showed truly why they were relegated last year, losing 0-3 to Augsburg

Bayern drop their first points this season with Armin Veh & Eintracht Frankfurt suffocating them. Could this be a sign of things to come? Bayern with 76% possession but still the same amount of shots on target as Eintracht (2). Bayern have found it tough on occasion this season against teams who have sat back and let them have possession and try to hit them on the counter/set piece
