Akka, what on earth is going on at westbourne?

Pretty handy ins! Great to see Chad back

As this is a C section thread (and we are no way near c section) I will refrain from going into detail. Been close in Rd's 1&2, but last week we were obliterated. Lost a lot of quality from last season.

Looks like c section is wide open!

Agree. Ajax much more disciplined and stuck to their game plan. Shut down our key runners and had their big boys up forward firing. Despite a come back in the third quarter we were smothered all day.

Players that were out for us was not an issue. We have enough depth to cover. Just didnt perform under Ajax's pressure.

Talk about a reality check! I'm so impressed with to disciplined game plan of the Jackas. I heard their coach was a VAFA guru, and what I saw today was testament to that.

Ritterman, Lewski & Routman on ball, with Fayman & Lew up forward. Gave us plenty to think about. Guess we're in for a big fight if we're to hope to progress in 2011.

Cheers

on a side note......cracking game of ressies footy too, kick after the siren to win it :thumbsu:

So Fitzroy take out the inaugural Blade Cup.
Old Camberwell 0-4 with another 3 in a row away, CRISIS time for the Wellers.

Wow well done ajax thats a great win for them! dont think too many people would have expected that..
My question is what is happening with ormond??? Really thought they would have knocked off old essendon after there thrashing last week and because the game was at home......
Be interesting to see how they go next week, playing werribee.

Went to Ajax on Saturday and watcheda great game of footy. Ajax were ready for a full days work and the tiges workrate in the first half in particular was not their normal standard. Mainly because of the Jaccas pressure not game plan there players worked so hard both ways and was relentless. They stopped some of Werribees ball magnets and there rebounding was quality. when you have a side committed all day is hard to stop momentum.I thought after half time the game was in the balance and the Tiges fought hard but didnt ever deserve to win. A good reality check wont hurt and it could awake a very good football team for the rest of the season. Alot more will be known for next time and im sure you will see a big response from the tigers dont jump off yet boys just watch for the tinkerings. well done Jaccas you deserved the win but i think it would have been better not so early .

Good summation of the game. How did you think the tiges onballers go, in particular norton, angellini, addamo?

Gotta love your ammo footy - great effort by me to tip 1 winner and that was a fluke. A round that really brings the Section alive.

Good effort by very desperate Rupo to hold off Monash all day - no excuses from the Ashes - just got done by the better side.

Looking forward to seeing Ajax up close and personal this week - they sound like they are ticking all the boxes...

Ormond would be disappointed to only have 1 win of course, but after 2 narrow losses and a loss to Ajax who are now the benchmark am sure they have plenty of chance to figure in the finals.

What's happening down at Ormond? Can anyone shed any light on their ordinary start to the season?
Nothing wrong, started slowly against Nodders, took it up to Ajax for a two and a half quarters and only lost by a goal on the weekend.
You could ask the same question about 2 or 3 other teams

How do you think your boys will go this week against the Tiges at home?
I know we will come out pretty hard after a lack lustre performance against Ajax. Might be a couple of handy ins this week for the tiges.
