Can anyone on here shed any light on what is going on at Old Camberwell? I'm not looking for any smart arse remarks either, but staring down the barrel of a 0-7 start and D Section, and let's be honest, Killworth has got plenty of form when it comes to relegating teams.

Nothing smart arse, but personal digs ok! Suprised Scribe got off scot free.

Thoughts on Ormond bocce?
Although the question wasnt directed at me, it seems like they have 1 or 2 good quaters each game, but drop off and let opposition take advantage of this. I hear that they are quite a young side with alot of new players adapting to new game plans and new structures... Its interesting to see how badly thier season is going compared to very good pre-season results.....

I haven't seen them play but a fly on the wall tells me there are question marks over Ormonds fitness. No such drama with their U19's on Saturday kicking 4 -8 into a 6 goal breeze to hold out a surging Old Camberwell in the last quarter.

Pretty much the case on the weekend. were well on top in the 1st qtr and right in it at the half, but seemed to drop their intensity after that and we took advantage of this kicking away in the 3rd. Have a couple of pretty good players but are lacking a few to be at the top. will definitely cause a few probs down the stretch though!

Spot on. Very good for a half but lack the fitness to keep up to the Tigers running game. The Tigers have had a Huge pre season under the guidance of ex bulldog player Chris Burton. I thought Ormond played a good hard running game for a half. Definately a better side than the ladder suggests

Agree. Thought Ormond played their forward press perfectly for almost the entire first half. However if 2-3 players dont have the fitness to run to their areas, a running team like the tiges can really cut you up.

If Ormond can improve their fitness (which should happen over the course of the season) i think they are a fair chance to make finals.

Well, well, what have we here, no response from ANY of our friendly Camberwell posters. Could it be that no-one wants to defend the indefensible?
Where is the much vaunted Sean Rusling? A whisper is he is not anywhere near GBO, not even in the country.
Scribe, you are normally pretty quick to solve all of the issues in VAFA footy, how about filling in all of us concerned OC supporters?

I'll pop them in early too:

Tigers
Bombers
Ashers
Jackers
Brunswick Streeters

Ormond showed plenty in patches, but did suffer a bit when their younger lads tired. Put up a good defensive effort, and I think mid table, borderline finals, isn't unrealistic from here on.

Cheers

Grum

Panda please the entire first half? The wind in the first quarter was worth 5 goals and it looked to me Werribee didnt throw anyone loose in defence. The second quarter the Tiges kicked 9 goals so i would suggest the press was gone then? Tough game under the conditions but all the games are like that. Thought the Tiges regrouped well from last week. And showed some different signs i would think to combat Ajax when next time they meet.

You must have watched a different game ! Congrats to Werribee who were too good overall. The wind was never more than 2 goals and Ormond played well in the first but were run over in the second with Werribee kicking 8 1 including 2 or 3 soft frees in front of goal. Ormond never gave in and there was certainly no press in the second half as they had to try and attack.
Bocca and Panda have been very humble in their posts with very fair comments.
On the plus side Werribee have a good canteen and very cold beer, well done.

Bedford, there is one thing that we enjoy in the west, and that is a froffie!

Wasn't there, but in my opinion, tigers are 5-8 goal better side at home, so will make for an interesting return bout!

Werribee and Rupo's last game at Salesian (not including practice matches) was one of the best games of ammo footy I have watched.

Hopefully the result is the same!

50k winds forecast on Saturday. As a supporter I am not confident, your form suggests a tough day for us on Saturday, still looking forward to it though. Unfortunately our reserves are trying hard but battling, our seniors are a box of chocolates at the moment.

Old Ess impressed me Saturday, will be thereabouts, i know Werribee smashed them which obviously worries me to no end.

I am trying to be an umpire admirer, but by god it seems every few weeks we are tested in our pursuit of unconditional acceptance,(even our lovely wives don't expect this level of acceptance). Well done to the boundary umpires, great to see an increase in the ladies doing this.

Keep trying KB, those umpires might not be perfect but they're the best we've got. We can only hope that our wives apply the same approach with us!

Have no idea - went away for a week - still couldn't find one:

Fitzroy - hitting form and could take Maz at Maz
Ormond - can beat students at Gunn where that is usually what happens
Ajax - have the talent and depth to get over MH
Old Ess - can't see wellers breaking duck out there in outback
Werribee - you are right to be worried KB
