Just seen the weather forecast for Saturday- 'Shower or two increasing, chance of thunderstorms during the afternoon.' Wet weather tactics could play a big part in the outcome on Saturday. Could it favour Old Carey or Hampton Rovers, bear in mind the Rovers are coming off a 6 day break as opposed to Old Carey's 14?

Hampton has beaten Old Carey convincingly once in the wet and lost narrowly twice in the dry. Is this a big enough a sample size to call them favourites? I am not sure a six day break will have any effect. If it does it will be countered by a home ground advantage to Rovers. Hopefully it is a ripper game like the previous encounters.

And have a home town advantage .
Well done on both clubs having a lunch together in the social rooms where the food is outstanding

No Jase, its all about just wanting that ball! and then massaging it between the tall perpendiculars to raise the twin white calicoes!

A great innings.

Looking forward to seeing what the club does next.

Equally will always watch with interest how Jon goes wherever he is coaching.

John was a fantastic coach for Glen Eira.
He has overseen a massive change to our Mens football program and has definitely left the club in a better place than when he started.
I'm sure he'll enjoy watching his son play at Old Brighton next year and look forward to seeing what the future holds for him.

He's done a great job and good on him , the future will be interesting as he did more than coach

Assistant @ brahhhhhton incoming?

Did more than coach . Good luck PS , will your Pres continue to lead from interstate ?
You keep saying this, as though it is unusual for a coach to do more than coach on game day....

Club will continue to go from strength to strength as it has over the last decade. Jon has been an amazing part of that and has accelerated (as opposed to uniquely responsible for) the success, blokes a great coach.

That said the club was on the rise regardless and whatever Kyes location he will continue to be a massive and valuable part of our club, as key a figure as any in our rise to premier and beyond.
