Great post CC, if you checked there are probably about 2 senior games at the most in that lot. The biggest loses are 2 to Port Melbourne and 1 to willy and thats great for those guys and shows our junior development is going well

yeah I know and whilst great for the kids to go over to Port and Willy, it must rip some young talent from the ranks.

Clearly Killer will win the league goal-kicking, and Belly will finish 1st in the competition B&F :p

Honestly, I'm not the bloke to ask as I haven't seen either of them play before. Suffice to say they're both training regularly, moving well and are expected to play more significant roles in the senior team than they did in 2011.

Hopefully they won't be the only ones. :thumbsu:

I'm one eyed Fraz (by the way ,well done on your appt), but the wrap on Bellie is justified.I reckon he only needs a couple of injury free seasons to really become one of the elite midfielders in the VAFA assuming he stays in the comp.Great kid to work with, eager to learn.

Young Killer is coming on well ,however I think goal kicking awards are beyond him at age 18 or 19....i think he is still eligible for the unders where he wwould indeed be very hard to hold.

GO WELLERS!

Fester, I think Scribe was taking the piss, a little. Not sure anyone can measure themselves as being one of the best mids in the VAFA if they are playing down in C Section, good luck this year, should be a cracker in C.

Spot on boys - tongue in cheek just a tad.

PM news off the wires.....Ormond and OC are looking like having a hitout at Moorabbin on Friday 18/3 from roughly 4.30pm to 7.30pm starting with predominantly U19s and then rolling into more senior units as the sun sets.

I enquired as to whether the Animal Cage was still in operation as I'm sure the Saints haven't moved that down to "Linen House" in Seaford. Apparently the cage has been dismantled, and I am truly showing my age.

Might have to have a memorial beverage to pay one's respects.

good first up hitout by Werribee yesterday in fairly warm conditions v Marcellin out at Whitten Oval. think we got done by 3 pts in the end. Both teams obviously missing a couple at this stage of the season, but good signs early especially from a few of the younger kids.

Fraser Blade, interesting reading in the local paper down chelsea way this week regarding one of the OC's big name recruits in ex pie Rusling. No doubt by now Killer has "a fat a cat can't scratch" but should the Camberwell faithful expect to see much of the marquee signing. If so, where on the oval should they be looking?

Now, now Ross Mitchell. Tsk, tsk. With your extensive experience in multimedia and high level football news presentation, you yourself know you can't believe everything you read in the papers!

Check the clearances, and I don't think you will see any players have been "signed on" at OC yet. Accordingly, I really can't help you out there. All pretty low key at the Barn Yard, with the opening of our new rooms being about the most significant development thus far. The senior playing list is pretty much intact save for 2 or 3 from last years' finals side going overseas for the year travelling. No major defections and a few handy types have been strolling across the bowling green in recent weeks.

As for why Tim is wearing baggy shorts at training, well you certainly could draw your own conclusions from past experience can't you? ;)

Come on Frase, stop the cloak and dagger stuff, Rusling via your new President AND another ex Pie is the word. I thought Killer bagged the ex admin out for their recruiting policies and was going down the youth line, hasnt OC learnt from the Kingsley and Baldwin disasters???? Fellow clubs will be rubbing their hands together.

big win to ormond over rovers last night, by about 12 goals with barney not happy

I wouldnt get to excitied moore, there was 4-6 blokes that had played senior footy in that side a couple with less then 3-4 games played. most seniors blokes didnt play. scrappy game but ormond might be in for a good year.

Wouldn't think the recruitment of a 23 year old would be seen as a scuttling of any youth policy. Tremendous coup Frase!

Pete, I see another 5 transfers logged in (takes it to 11?)- surely this must be a concern for the coach and admin?

An injury prone Rusling will fit the structured game plan down at the barnyard perfectly....NOT. I expect Rusling to have a heap of clubs calling him this week, won't end up at Camberwell, well dine to the spud from OC who originally posted it.

CC I reckon Ormond have a lot less to worry about then some others. I hear they gave your old sparring partners from Bluff Road a flogging in a practice match on Friday night. Now you should never take too much from practice match form but from all reports some of the Ormond youngsters looked pretty sharp against a B grade club.

We are very happy where we are at the minute CC, i would think most ammo clubs would have this much movement at this time of year. Some of the kids on Friday were very good and i would think other clubs have more to worry about than us.

Just read the article in the Leader which says he was training with Chelsea and told them he had committed to Camberwell instead. A combination of a job and a couple of mates seemed to do the trick. Can't say I'd be happy to see him running out against us in round one, but if it's in the local rag, it must have some basis of fact. How will these other clubs you claim will be chasing him manage to get him on board if a cashed up MPNFL club couldn't?

Its not over till it's over, HOWEVER, Old Camberwell are known throughout the VAFA to throw coin about, just ask Baldwin and King$ley, Im sure match payment$ and a job seems good at the moment, but if he hasnt good the job after a coulpe of months then there are a lot of EFL clubs that will pay him up to 30K and throw in a job.
As far as his footy goes, he won't be a factor, his body is well and truly shot.

Sounds like sour grapes GOI. In one sentence you say EFL clubs will throw $30K at him, and then you state his body is shot and he won't be a factor.

Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Yes, he should find out this week if
he will be on their list. Has done everything right what i have seen. Was on their list in 2008 before getting injured. Is loving it down there.
Noticed he got some solid mentions in (losing) praccies against Collingwood and Bendigo. Fingers crossed KB. :thumbsu:

In: L. Baddeley (Werribee VFL)
Out: G. Phillips (Geelong VFL)

KPP for a gun midfielder, would probably ease the pain somewhat!
