In: L. Baddeley (Werribee VFL)
Out: G. Phillips (Geelong VFL)

KPP for a gun midfielder, would probably ease the pain somewhat!

Geelong only has one side, is hard to crack a spot, was signed last night, will be at Ruppo if not in side.
Latch has been brilliant and has played a terrific leadership role. We are lucky to have him back along with Tom West and Ryan Monzell putting the boots back on. As with all clubs not everything is going to plan, hopefully things work out in what is potentially a good year for Ruppppo.

CC I reckon Ormond have a lot less to worry about then some others. I hear they gave your old sparring partners from Bluff Road a flogging in a practice match on Friday night. Now you should never take too much from practice match form but from all reports some of the Ormond youngsters looked pretty sharp against a B grade club.

Wow, I'm sure Barney would not be happy with that one, B grade vs C Grade sides.

Also many opportunities in the post Rooster, flogging, Bluff Road, Sparring Partners. It seems my old sparring partners have dropped off, even Watchful with his Sunday weekly cred. tables, WaW.

Good luck to him, good footballer

Monds -v-Wellers last night at Moorabbin was a hearty hitout for both clubs with in excess of 60 players on each side getting a run (mainly for 50 minutes each). Ground was absolutely sensational, and we played 6x 25 minute 'quarters' across the afternoon.

Early fixtures probably had the best of the conditions, particularly the light, with the kids playing at 4.30pm and the 5.30pm game being mainly reserve players. Ormond (I think) won the 1st game, and OC easily won the second.

For the one that (kinda) counts Sacha Koffman was assisted in the whistle department by newbie (ex-AFL) in Leigh Fisher. The Monders comfortably won the first half of the main game, with OC pegging things back in the second half to end up (at a guess) a couple of snags short of the hosts. I reckon both teams were at roughly 60-70% full strength.

There were many fresh faces on show for Ormond, and I think they'll be better up forward this season with a bit more support for Martinov. It was clear they were switched on better from the beginning for what was their second hit-out, but thankfully our boys did respond quite well to a few wise words from Killer at the break.

All-in-all, a useful opener for us to get the cobwebs out and to test a few new lads at the higher level of skill and pace. Didn't learn too much, but enough to move onto PM #2 with plenty to work with.

Thanks to Mick and the Ormond boys for the opportunity and best of luck for the year.

Werribee played old Geelong today, I only saw last 15 mins and werribee ran out game well, not sure how much they won by, but it seemed comfortable.

TT, we won by about 14 goals, the game was over at half time. We tried a few things in the 2nd half, moved some players around which brought OG back into it a little. We had a couple missing but pretty close to full strength. great pressure, moved the ball extremely well, will be a good year!
Geelong on the other hand could have a long year, trying to play a running game by feeding out the back but dont seen to have the cattle to do it.

GLENROY FC -STRONG EDFL DIV 2 Team have had a late pull out and are very keen for a Practise match this weekend. Contact Senior coach Brett Jefferies on 0438056088 will organize.

Unicorns and Wellers ended up on a road trip to Bass due to ground unavailability. Three games, three comfortable wins to the Blue boys.

Think the trip outside the metro region meant the MHSOB crew were a tad undermanned. Can't say any more than that. What happens on tour stays on tour. ;)

Ormond v Heathmont
H.E. Parker Reserve, Heathmont

Ormond won by 6 goals ormond looking good this season 3-0 in practice matches.

Werribee played Altona (WRFL) at Soldiers and comfortably beat them by over 10 goals.

Special mention to L Elevato for kicking 6 in the ressies. Altona must have felt sorry for him. :D

Good test this week against Ruppo before round 1 against the Wellers.

Curious to find out the best players in c section in general, but more relevant the practice matches ???
Just there isnt to much information and individuals.

Werribee's gun player is Louie elevato. Short in stature but lethal. Dead set gun

Ormond looking very good, very youthfull this year, Few boys from the vfl that will creep into some games this year.

That is just laughable, just cause he's kicked a few goals in the 2's doesn't make him one of Werribee's gun players. If he was that great he would be in the 1's or even considered to play in the 1's.
Gun players from Werribee are Az Taylor, Cam Lee, Tate McCutcheon and Boomer just to name a few. The Werribee boys also have the Morrow brothers back which is handy.

I think the joke has been over explained!

Just to clarify smoking aces, I was joking.
