Tell me you don't know how the system works without telling me.25 for a fringe player!! massive overs, can not believe the dogs didnt take this ridiculous offer...roos should walk away
yep should only be a 3rd rounder25 for a fringe player!! massive overs, can not believe the dogs didnt take this ridiculous offer...roos should walk away
Dogs list manager just outlining how little he understands about player value25 for a fringe player!! massive overs, can not believe the dogs didnt take this ridiculous offer...roos should walk away
It wasn’t for pick 25. It was Daniel & 48 for 25.Dogs list manager just outlining how little he understands about player value
Subbed on 7 times and off 1 time. 6 of those 16 games he played less than 30% game time.Disagree. He is fringe. Played 16 games. How many times was he sub or subbed out? He would be the 20-30 bloke picked in the team. Will be 29 next year.
Don't get me wrong he would be a reasonable player for a few teams but if he gets traded he won't net much because of his age, salary and because he is on the outer at the Dogs.
For a player clearly not in the best 22 and 28 years old it still seems like a really good deal for the dogsIt wasn’t for pick 25. It was Daniel & 48 for 25.
25 will become 30 after bids and 48 will come in a fair bit so essentially it’s a 15ish pick upgrade.
Surely not.Aside from the pick swap aspect, it's been indicated that the offer included the bulldogs paying a portion of his salary. Let's not pretend North offered pick 25 outright with no strings attached.
Someone on our board and they have a good track record said that we had to pay some of the salarySurely not.
We'd be searching for creative ways to reach the salary floor.
Bring us your bloated and unjustifiable contracts. Our salary cap is our only competitive advantage.
I agree, one would think that could be beneficial.Surely not.

If that's really true, I can only guess its just a negotiation tactic.Someone on our board and they have a good track record said that we had to pay some of the salary
Yup. Daniel is an upgrade on Fisher as HBF and our small forwards (RHJ and Payne) are both unproven, so I reckon Fisher would slot in forward at the start of 2025 and will hopefully be fighting against competition for his spot by a month or so in.You couldn’t possibly play Fisher and Daniel in the same back line, could you? Fisher to play forward?
I thought it was a move that could have been made this year, so I like it. Fisher can find the pill but can’t execute the kicks well enough to really get the Roos going from the back 50. Can find the sticks though, and like you said he provides the up and comers with more competition to get them to work harder for opportunities.Yup. Dogs officially the new Bombers.
Haggling over Caleb Daniel.
Jesus Christ.
These list managers are flogs.
Pushed over by North offering 25 for a bloke Bevo plays in the VFL?
Give it a rest.
You should be happy to get his wages off your books
It's posturing for the sake of posturing to make the list managers feel important. Ego driven.
You think anyone cares about posturing for a semi irrelevant VFL player?
Touched in their 2016Show us where the Bulldog touched you.
That’s why the trade was rejected, North weren’t taking all his salary in this offeryep should only be a 3rd rounder
we are taking 700-750k a year off their books
The Dogs clearly don’t want to lose both Macrae & Daniel unless we receive overs.
Contrary to what people believe, we aren’t shedding salary for the sake of shedding salary. That means we have leverage in our contracted players.
It’s ridiculous how people think we should hand over both contracted and uncontracted players and have nothing on our terms.
