Very clever LongBomb, stay up late coming up with that one?

Very confident he will come back fine, he may be old but he is one of the most durable players to have ever played the game. Has never played less then 21 games in a season since his rookie year

No way in hell is this worthy news of the main board. Had Johnson ripped his calf open and was expected to miss 6 months then I would have no issue with it.

Who cares? He is in his testimonial year.

His career highlight will be as a springboard for Moorcroft

A career that will span in the vicinity probably 365+ games.

Its just fortunate he doesn't play for Richmond as he would have struggled to get to 350 given that finals are included in total number of games.

Agreed 54.

Pretty durable player and wouldnt expect him to miss too long.

Wish him the best with it... We all know how hard calfs are to get right

I would assume that posting that in the middle of the afternoon that you have finished high school? Go check yourself, your comment is shit. If you are 15 then I apologize, but it's just a shit, immature comment.

No use bringing him in for round two. We don't need him against Richmond, plus we still want to give Johnson his milestone game in a blockbuster match. So round three against Hawthorn it is.

He'll play against Richmond. It's a sure thing. You know why? We get ALL (exaggeration but it seems that way sometimes) the milestone games. And we get subsequently flogged. We're the milestone bunnies of the AFL, anyone who has a significant achievement the week they play us, is assured of victory.

The only time we've beaten the milestone hurdle in recent years is the last Melbourne appearance of James Hird and Kevin Sheedy.

(cue comments about anyone who plays us is assured of victory...)

He will play round one.
I just remember a few years ago he was ruled out of round one, against collingwood, and all week we said he was no chance and then suddenly we had him as an emergency and on the day he played.
I doubt tightness would keep him out of a game still well over 2 weeks away.

Hope I am wrong, but when a player of his age starts doing this, no matter the durability I worry that he could struggle to play a meaningfull role this year. Hopefully like Crawford in 08 he can really come to full fitness when it counts no matter what sought of year he has.

I strongly disagree with this post. Any team that plays Richmond should be assured victory, you're not milestone bunnies either, your team is just pathetic and useless.:thumbsu:

Didn't your team just trade for a guy who couldn't get a game in this apparently pathetic and useless team? Maybe you could explain the logic of that to me.

Oh well, he can always come back in for our training run in round 2.

still a chance for collingwoods training run i round 1 . its amusing all the hype surrounding the dogs remember you guys finished .1% higher on percentage and the acheived the same result in the 09 finals , yet the dogs with ageing players and hardly no scope for natural improvement are considered by vitually all, to be the ones to beat. round 1 will be a rude shock for all believers and by round 11 talks of bring back terry wallace will be all the rage. jwas.

pies the only club to sack a back to back premiership coach.

1. Except you guys rolled over in the PF and were belted to the tune of 73pts whereas we were actually a chance of winning up until the last minute or so.

2. All players are ageing.

3. Of course we don't.
