Where it says that MW will have dedicated servers, have any other COD's thus far had dedicated servers? or is this the first time?

I swore off COD after Black Op's and said i wouldnt play again until they get dedicated servers.

They have said the same thing the last 2 years, but only ranked has had dedicated servers

That answer seems to insinuate that you will need the disc, but who knows really. The more they leave it vague, the more inclined I am to think you will need to keep the new game for COD4 to work.

In the end though, as long as the game remains pretty much untouched other than graphical and framerate stability improvements, it's one of the easiest cost justifications going around. Normal COD's that have had all the shitton of garbage added to it over the years have seen most on here pay well in excess of the $130 it's currently going for. If you add all the COD's up since COD4 which have really just been riding the coattails of that game as well, then the cost is exponentially more too and none of them still equal the quality that COD4 is (Blops did come close overall - but as a game it wasn't quite as good).

I don't really understand why there's only 10 maps though, I mean I get that those will likely be DLC later on, but it seems a weird limit when you're looking at remastering a game to just use 10 maps.

I think Halo did the same and only included half of the maps with their remaster. I could be wrong though

But really, we all know why they're releasing half now and why we assume they'll do half later..... $$

I'll clarify. I don't mind the PS4 controller. Its a shit load better than the PS3 one. The problem is i use my XB1 99% of the time and am used to it. The PS4 barely gets any play time. (Although Ratchet is about to be played)

I'm so used to it, as it's been 9 years of using 360 and XB1 controller, i'm so much more comfortable with it. I also prefer the diagonal thumbsticks as it feels more 'balanced"

While it's exciting news that it's getting a remaster...will it actually feel the same?

Part of the reason the original release was so unbelievable was that the connections were clean.
On 4 bars....it was crisp as **** and you never called out BS.
3 bars was still very crisp and nothing you'd complain or cry foul about.
2 bars and you start to notice a bit of latency...you can clearly see you're not in the best quality lobby and you can leave.
1 bar and you just back out.

I'd take a steady 2 bar connection on the original CoD4 than the type of connections they give you on full bars since Black Ops 1 to present.
Will the remake be hindered by the modern CoD connection issues?......unfortunately i'm thinking it will.

I've seen that they have said about having dedicated servers but i'll believe it when i can play on it....i've seen these promises before only for them to be on the competitive scene side of things only. Time will tell i suppose.

Been playing that Chinese PC exclusive F2P CoD Online. Activision should seriously consider releasing that on PS4/X1, nice mix of maps from MW1, 2 and Black Ops 1. Takes a bit of setting up but i was keen to check it out.

Even with my average KBM skills I still get a lazy 17-1 on Summit. Shipment is included but they've extended the map out somewhat, i was actually impressed with how well it flows as a result, a few of their original designs play nice too....wish i knew what they were called though, everythings in Chinese, lol.
