Almost amusing watching DeGoey kick a goal from 50 with almost no momentum, put on the backfoot, while Callum is barely able to make contact with the ball.

Oh don't worry, we've seen Goo do the same.
Yeah but you will never see Brown win matches off his own boot like JDG.
I'm not writing Callum off but he can't make the distance from 30m out and he is a massive liability with his kicking.
Yeah, I don't see him as a small forward, he's an inside midfielder. Whether he'll ever get those opportunities at senior level or whether someone like his brother or Rantall will go past him time will tell. He's getting games ahead of Stevo and Ruscoe because he's generally among the leaders of pressure acts. We're essentially sacrificing a little offensive capacity to ensure we either keep the footy inside our F50 or impact the oppositions transition which helps out the defense.
Nobody hates him but he definitely should not be playing atm. Needs a big run in vflWheres all the hate for Cal Brown come from ?
I wouldn't call it hate. People just don't think he's any good, which is fair, because he's week-in week-out our worst playerWheres all the hate for Cal Brown come from ?

That's just stupid for mine.
Pressure acts is good if it leads to goals directly.
Im not seeing any of Callum's pressure or defensive acts lead to goals.
Thus--Stephenson kicking 2 goals in a "quiet game" is worth more than what Brown is serving up weekly.
JDG has set shot issues, but he has alpha presence and takes ownership, where as Callum almost seems like a little kid playing out there.JDG also missed a set shot from about 20m out.
Nobody is perfect, CB has lots of strengths in his game.
Care to name the numerous strengths Cal Brown apparently has?JDG also missed a set shot from about 20m out.

Its pretty clear he (unfortunately) won't cut it long term.N
Not quite true. If it was an easy fix we would not be having the same conversations after each game. Yes he has potential... but again last night he had 4 kicks resulting in 3 turnovers (couldn't hit a target from 25m). Had a short on goal from 30m and kicked it straight up in air. Last night he had -42 metres gained. The same issues occur each week. He needs to be given a spell so he can work on the issues at hand.
Or he’s just become someone who’s form does not warrant selection. It’s not personal, players are rewarded on form, browns is not good enoughIt seems Brown has become the new Blair.

See above. Luke Ball should be the inspiration for Callum. OP killed Ball's ability to kick over 30m but he forged a great career despite his limitations.I don't think you can have a bloke who can't kick the footy 30m in your team at AFL level regardless of how evasive he might seem. I've seen blokes who have hardly touched a footy in their life kick the ball longer.
