Traded Cameron McCarthy [traded to Fremantle with picks 7, 33 and 71 for pick 3]

Both Freo and GWS will have too much to lose from this deal not going through.

The pressure on Freo will increase if we can't get the deal done for a key forward and GWS will look like scum if they don't do all they can to get him back home given the mental health stuff.

Both clubs have had 12 months to discuss a deal and it will get done. 2017 2nd rounder and we all go home happy and take it to another draft/trade thread.

We got almost a year out of it.

Wonder who will be next and which way?

I am most the only Freo supporter to say that it should be next years second and third draft picks and that most likely add up an first round draft in terms of points.

You don't like Young. Pretty sure your comment is slanderous though.

With the new rules, it is in your best interests to get rid of McCarthy, and it may be in your interests to try to trade up, so that each pick is worth more points. 3 for 7 and 16, for example.

Getting lots of small picks doesnt benefit us at all with the new academy rules.

You guys do tend to leave a few empty spots on your list.

I agree that Young is a knob. Maybe, if Young and McCarthy went to the club earlier about McCarthy personal issues maybe we wouldn't be in situation we are in.

Worked out well for Cam didn't it? And Mitch Clark. Clark had to stay at Brisbane another 12 months after he asked for a trade.
