If you are not suffering after being a kick away from the Grand Final and losing, you need to experience more heartbreaking losses before you deserve to get into the big dance.

It's not a popular opinion amongst giants fans, but I was happy for the dogs.
However the pain on the players faces says there should be an added incentive next year.
Personally having been through 4 grand finals without a win, I am probably a better judge of how hard it is than most Freo fans would be.

And I meant if we get with 1 kick of a grand final we are not suffering for having Cam sit out and wont suffer for his loss.

And what i meant is that maybe if you had another committed player on the list / traded the picks for another established player you might have been more than an interested onlooker grand final day this year. Its a stretch but not unreasonable

If you've switched teams, especially recently then I wouldn't of thought so, because loyal and passionate fans feel more pain than blokes who one day decide to barrack for another team.
Having a bloke sit on your list and taking up a spot when you could get a pick/player instead proves that's wrong, everyone at GWS knows they've spudded this one up.

I've not switched teams, I'm a dual member, living in Sydney I know a lot more about GWS so post that way.
When the Giants play Saints in a final, grand or other wise, I'll be wearing red white and black.

No. Its more than a stretch. Only Stevie j not getting in trouble could of possibly made a difference.
Just silly talk.

I think that's about as fair and reasonable as I'd expect.

Maybe a late pick switch too.

If true, it's a potential indication that Fremantle are more interesting in an English or Marshall, who may be a stretch at Pick 3 (after the resigning of Hogan and Lobb this morning). Values McCarthy around Pick 32 which would be less than what I expected us to pay for him this year.

Add another first round pick to the trade and both clubs would still benefit.
ie pick 3 for McCarthy, pick 7 and pick 15 or 16.

GWS gets McGrath (probably) and their two academy prospects, free up their list by offloading McCarthy, and get a draft pick worth more points than the two they're giving up, so they can keep another player on their list (new rules re live draft picks for academy teams)
Freo gets McCarthy and two first round picks, albeit closer to the end of the round.

Freo are the only club that benefit if the giants add an additional 1st rounder.

3 for McCarthy and 7 would be enough to get it done IMO.

Seems fair to both sides for mine

3 for McCarthy, 7 and 15/16? Trying your luck a bit there mate, you're suggesting McCarthy's value is literally zero.
