Can we afford all of De Goey, Grundy, and Moore

I have always thought when he is 100 percent fit! which has probably been only in the last 12 months Darcy Moore is our most imporntant player.
If we can keep him injury free , he can play in any key position in the field forward back ruck and kill it.
As much as i love degoey, and want to keep him, Moore is way more important.
If Degoey wants to leave our best option would be that he chases the $$$$ rather then sucess that way clubs like the Suns come in play , as they will be staked with draft picks and have the best kids to trade.

Tommy looks Dumb now

Having listened to Eddie on Hot Breakfast he was never "seeing red" or "furious". Everything he said was tongue in cheek and a bit of an act he goes through with Darcy egging him on. If anyone listened to it they'd realise. Total beat up!

I’ll tell you all one thing for free,

I am SICK and TIRED of these contract negotiations hanging over the pies year after year after year.

It started like 7 years ago when Cloke held out for a big deal with Carlton and Fremantle make big offers.
When in the last how ever many years have we not entered a season without media hype around a) a star player out of contract and not signed b) some sort of club scandal.

Stop giving air to the media types who drive it.

Every club has exactly the same issues but for the most part they seem immune to the scrutiny and speculation. Stop listening to or reading their crap and they'll just fade into insignificance.

Martin gets 200k per year outside the salary cap for signing memorabilia for the club. If they can do that I don’t see why Collingwood can’t make a similar deal.

All those type of deals need to be signed off by the AFL now as far as I know. The "Judd paper bag caveat"

Wasn't suggesting that the Martin deal wasn't signed off, just highlighting that we'd need to get AFL approval for anything similar that we put in place for our players. As far as I'm aware, clubs have an allocated budget outside the salary cap to facilitate these types of deals so they're limited in just how many they can implement and/or the quantum of them.

If Moore goes the inside word is that he is more likely to go interstate, principally to a club like Sydney for lifestyle reasons rather than a Melbourne-based club. In that case the $ would be less important. As Browne says (and who would believe anything he says), he's more likely to stay though.

Inside word? Lifestyle reasons?
What the hell are you on about???

Would have to mean that living out of the Melbourne bubble would be easier if you were not straight. You can be yourself and not pretend. Some head out like Daniher because they like the quieter lifestyle. Lockett also went down that route my memory tells me. You can blend into the crowd away from Melbourne. So we would be vulnerable to Sydney offering big money again. I remember Tom Morris using lifestyle too, not just the bloke above.

So Moore is not being himself in Melbourne? I wonder if he knows.

In a footy sense he probably is but in an AFL city you would have to act straight. In Sydney people would not bat an eyelid because they only know the high profile players like Buddy.
You really need to stop assuming you know anything about his sexuality. You might offend people.

Do you find this approach working well for you in life?
It's never much of an issue really. Anyway I don't care about his sexuality except for the lack of father and sons if he plays the 100 games. It's never bothered me, but it would be a shame if someone did leave because they felt it would be easier out of Melbourne for those reasons I outlined.

Did anyone else find Moore attractive when he dressed like Keira Knightley?

I did, and now I’m wondering who I am. Maybe I should move to Sydney too.

It’s just so confusing.

Hmmm, 750k is a lot. Would have preferred him on a bit less. Nevertheless still worth every penny. Beams on the other hand, would love for him to do what Boyd did
Gimp makes $750k before breakfast.

You can relax here, he is a bloke, not Keira. Isn't Brodie a beast these days? I don't like the All Stars kit.
