Captain Round 2

I will put my faith in Andrew Swallow this week as Captain.
Was gutted after missing the boat with Gibbs (didnt select him as vC) but i thought selwood would do ok with the captaincy. Hopefully i dont jinx swallow this week.

haha. oh dear

If there's no Carlton injuries and the Blues have sealed the win I reckon Gibbs could be a chance to get subbed.

Wouldn't think so. We will rest him in the forward line as he is still a pretty good mark and has excellent kicking technique (when he actually decides to take shots and not look for the hand off)

You dont trade your guns unless they get injured, simple as that.
If you really want Swan, the best option would be to wait for your rookies to appreciate in value so you can downgrade them to a cheap rookie while upgrading one of your other mids to Swan. You wont lose too many points with Pendlebury as captain in the meantime.

Might risk it with Montagna this week given everyone will be going with Swan. Had 42 touches last time he played us. Will tear us a new one again I think. Although it is hard to go past Swan because -

a) Even in a poor game he will still score 100 and even if he does score poorly most people will have him perma captain each week so you don't lose much.

b) Risking more to gain more with another option. If they score poorly you will be well behind the 8 ball.

Couldn't care less how attractive Gibbs and Montagna are for captain.

Going with Swan over Montagna and Gibbs , just because I can :thumbsu:

Montagna scored 139 and 146 against Richmond last year.

Looks like everyones just selecting Swan as their easy option, and if you look at Swan's scores against NM the last 4 occasions, from memory he's scored 74, 85, 123 and 117.

Just a thought.

Mate if you really remember those scores "from memory", then u need to get a life lol.
Anyway Swan captain, in the form of his life:thumbsu:

IMHO if the makeup of a past rival team has changed at all then looking at past scores is a waste of time. Even then form changes everything as Big Tazz said.

Swan is a ball magnet, smart, a brilliant over head mark and a fantastic shot on goal.

Nuff said.
