It’s a pleasant change to be facing trade/draft permutations from a position of strength and with a bright outlook over the coming years. Very, very nice.

Would be fantastic. Unfortunately, Andrew Mackie isn’t an idiotSurely we give the Cats pick 14 and Owies for SDK, then take pick 12 to the draft?
Massive free agent class next year. Can see some big movement being made in this space next off seasonWe have traded away some of our future for this position.
Next year will be quiet with not much draft capital.
Next year we can use futures two years outWe have traded away some of our future for this position.

If he is drafted, with terms, that any club meets, it is open game, he can't renege.Yup, I believe if we wanted to and smith was open to come to us, that we could facilitate a deal with the dogs here and pinch smith

10, 18 and 30 to the Tigers, which then becomes 10 and 14, for Bolton. Is he really worth two mid first round picks?I think it's more likely it's tied into our dealings with Freo for Bolton. For example, we get 10, 18 and 30 for Bolton, then give 18 and 30 to you guys for 14.
Does Jagga have the moves though?
Bolton is 100% worth two mid first round picks.10, 18 and 30 to the Tigers, which then becomes 10 and 14, for Bolton. Is he really worth two mid first round picks?
Yup that would be a good outcome for us too, would ensure a tall defender and sml fwd . Our pick 14 for a midfielder, should still be a good option there for us.Could it be like 12 for 20, 24 and 51?
Considering that late pick is worthless to you guys with all the high picks you are taking anyway.
Edit. It could include Kennedy who you are somewhat interested from reports.
I don’t see it that way. We’ve brought forward a pick with a slight additional cost into a stronger draft. Gets us a good prospect (hopefully) into the club a year earlier and allows us to build the next generation now. Then there’s FA and NGAs next year and potential draft capital from next year’s trades or picks brought forward from the year after that. I think it’s a bold strategy. We have traded away some of our future for this position.

But what original poster said, it'll be a quiet draft for us in terms of trading as we won't have much. Yes, we've gone bold going all out a year earlier for the future though.I don’t see it that way. We’ve brought forward a pick with a slight additional cost into a stronger draft.
