I think you'll survive one week (70% chance Carlton to win this week, 40% chance of winning the semi, 1% chance of winning prelim v Brisbane)
Participation ribbons - once mocked by Carlton supporters, now being celebrated
I ain't celebrating making finals
We still have a relatively young list, with only 2 players 30+ for the whole of next year
So, it's more what we do in the next 3 years
While the top 3 have a statistical advantage, that shouldn't stop us making a GF if we are good enough
Basing that on Lions winning this week is interesting in itself.

Regularly competitive with no extended periods of being a laughing stock and whipping boys of the competition.
Can't say that about many teams, including yours.
I hope Carlton win it if Collingwood don't this year. I've got many good friends who are Carlton supporters who have been miserable for two decades.

They have no reason to be, our club delivers for them year after year, no extended periods at the bottom or out of finals
They should be very satisfied with an overflowing drawer full of participation ribbons, enjoying the game regularly like you are now
There are two types of Carlton supporters:
1. Those who have seen flags, are approaching senility, and have been miserable for two decades, and
2. Those who haven't forgiven their parents for making them barrack for Carlton.
